You don't need to focus on resists nearly that much. Poison resist is more or less the only one that matters. Personally, I'd rather use a Gladiator's Bane and fill the inventory with MFSCs This is one of my fave builds, btw. It is a phenomenal budget build. Insight+Cure+Prayer Merc and your energy shield is going to keep you alive for a looooong time. Also, I find that a +3 Enchant/Fire Mastery Leaf and a +6 Energy Shield Memory make for affordable prebuff items. Or, if you find a god roll, a +3 Enchant/Fire Mastery/Energy Shield Memory on swap is basically the highest-end prebuff stick you can find.

This is one build that actually really likes health regen. When you have only 300 life, being able to recover 50 life per second (totally doable with a Prayer/Insight/Cure merc) keeps you topped off really well and the little damage that squeaks past your ES and MDR and PDR gets topped off right aways. Also helps to stack Poison Damage Length Reduced By %%. I also keep a row of antidote potions on her too.

I made this build before sundering charms existed and it was amazing. Until I reached Act IV NM then the Fire immune were everywhere. Still beat Hell and everything after that but I did have to skip a lot or utilize party members. I haven’t played the game lately so never tried Sundering charms but I imagine that would be amazing. Making these “quirky” builds is what I love to do. So disappointed that D3 and now D4 restrict you so much.

Man. I finally get why they made Flickering Flame on the same updates as the sunder charms. THATS why. God. I looked at flickering flame and just said "is this worth a vex rune? hmmm it's not that great or anything, fire skills? no one uses fire sorc or fire druid...may help with some weird holy fire thing...fire traps? what is this thing for? is this for a merc?" Now I get it. Now it makes sense. It's for the fire sunder charm shit. Also, sidenote. I played old diablo 2 and eshield was always a joke to me because every enemy I would always run into, every pack in the old diablo 2, had mana burn. So I never touched eshield because it was a death sentence in hell pretty much. Is energy shield still basically worthless against mana burn groups and still a death sentence or did they give energy shield a break?

yep mana burn doesn't totally burn mana 100% anymore, actually it's barely noticeable. :)

I've been playing this build for a couple seasons now. It's better to avoid all fire resist and instead use the rising sun amulet with over 60% fire obsorb. Works awesome in travincle. The hydras heal you!

Currently running a nova sorc that melts everything but this build looks like it can get as fast as the nova sorc. Flickering flame is cheap but getting that infinity on the merc will take some work

my enchantress is using a1 merc with kuko shakaku and wisdom. even my merc has 80 something chance to pierce with over 6k dmg per shot :p also, is that an expanded inventory...in resurrected? how? i thought no game mods really worked on d2r

How about a build with all three elements so you don't have to worry about double immunes (and don't have to use Infinity)? I think skill points usually work to give you two of the elements and decent ES+TK, but for the third you can get an offhand staff (even just a magic one from town) with +3 to your skill of choice and +3 to said element skills, +3 to said element mastery (or just put one point yourself into that) and the rest from gear/charms. I've been experimenting with something like that and it's a lot of fun, but I'm curious what your take on it as a more experienced player would be.

hmm im confused at how all your res were maxed and with that much damage. i have a maxed enchant sorc and i can get her enchant to about 5300 or so dmg with level 53 enchant.

I use enigma on mine for mf! Jewel in demon cuse max frame isn’t priority due to the play style.. pew pew teleport pewpew .. you always never shot more then 3-4 arrow a shot.. you wont see the gain

This is d2r with some random irrelevant inventory expansion mod. Character works the exact same way in vanilla.
