In this psychological horror game you'll join three friends who are excited to see their favorite band, only to encounter a hitchhiker on a desolate highway. As the miles pass by, the hitchhiker's unsettling presence becomes sinister, and their true identity is shrouded in darkness. Will you be able to make it to the end of the road and survive?
Immerse yourself in an engaging story with gripping cutscenes, with a choice of four different vintage retro styles that add to the game's unique atmosphere.
The soundtrack compliments and that heightens the suspense during the unsettling gameplay sections, this game is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. So turn off the lights, put on your headphones, and prepare for a truly memorable horror adventure.

Picked up a hitch-hiker. Seemed like a nice guy. After a few miles, he asked me if I wasn't afraid that he might be a serial killer. I told him the odds of two serial killers being in the same car were extremely unlikely.

I think what differentiates this from other ps2 graphic indie games we’ve been seeing lately is good character writing, and a story they weren’t afraid to throw us into with the whole pocket time dimension/cult/entity thing. The premise and relationships carries the game a long way, even in such a small world where it’s just the car, and a few stops to be explored. It wasn’t afraid to be itself, which I enjoyed

I've been wanting to rewatch the 2003 movie Dead End for years. Now I HAVE to cuz this reminded me so much of that movie. This was actually a really great game. Do you have hazard pay for all those disgusting toilets you always have to stick your hands into?

Main complaint here is I wish this could've been expanded into a 3 hour+ game, idea seems like it could've been expanded on and is probably one of my favorites in this style.

I really liked it! I agree about the sanity system, which felt pretty pointless, but the atmosphere and the story were great, and for a one-hour game it flew by, there's barely any downtime. Great job, dev !

This feels like it could be an official Silent Hill game: The Road, or something. The "next town over" was Silent Hill and something really bad happened to them on the last few miles to town. But really: I like the idea of being trapped on an endless (but otherwise normal-seeming) road. It reminds me of In the Mouth of Madness, too, with the impossibility of leaving that place.

I enjoyed it - it was just a basic, fairly predictable horror game, but I liked it! Some good examples of game logic, like at the beginning, when the Hitchhiker killed himself in the back seat (supposedly), why was there blood on the outside of the car? Oh well….. One last point - don’t you think “The Demonic Slide Whistle” would make a great horror title?

Story was alright, I kind of liked how it started but then it didn’t really expand much and just felt like going through the cliches as it went on. Gameplay most definitely an afterthought though, sanity system was so pointless even the devs knew it and got rid of it midway.

Writing criticism We know more than a few people were here prior to our group. This being the case..why do we need to get so many keys? I do not believe we are the only one who unlocked doors and explored this place. So did the cult members relock doors andplace the keys in easy to reach locations? But why? None of it was needed to go to the video store. Which is the only location that mattered. I guess you needed to destroy the 2 tapes which were in previous locations. And if it was really this easy to deal with the hitch hiker. Why did no one do it earlier?

I love the visual aesthetics, but this game just didn't do it for me. I dunno, maybe I wanted more of the car ride and creepy rider rather than complete magic horror thing the game went towards or perhaps just more gameplay vs cutscenes. The gameplay segments where that hitchhiker just stood there unmoving until you got closer were unnerving but there just wasn't enough I felt like.
