I keep coming back. "The World Is A Thorn" The gavel has fallen, along with the rest. Are we expected to settle for this? Bring us the plague, lead us away. Blacken tomorrow with ash of today. Can't you see the fabric of our standards wearing thin? See your world in its grave at the hands of the enslaved. Won't bow to man. Won't bow to government. Won't trust in a failed system of self-fulfilling lust. Won't love a world where my God is mocked. I defy. Oh, a kiss on the serpent's head. We walk in the line of deceit, the walking dead. Can't you feel the ground of our discretion giving way? Refusal of hope, solution demise. Bury the truth in a mountain of lies. Won't bow to man. Won't bow to government. Won't trust in a failed system of self-fulfilling lust. Won't love a world where my God is mocked. I defy. This is what you try to sell me. Subjective nothingness. Pull your sickness from my throat. Let me breathe the truth. Let me breathe the truth. Won't bow to man. Won't bow to government. Won't bow to greed. Won't bow to false hope. Won't bow to self. Won't bow to modern code. ***** If treating people equally and with respect is not in your moral code than your morality needs some serious upgrading. It's not the 1300s anymore.
@TheNightWatcher138510 жыл бұрын
Yes, we have to freedom to do right and wrong. Now I ask you, how is what he did right? I don't see some crusader for justice being beat down by society. I see a bigoted old fool who thinks he has the right to judge other people based on what they are and have no control over. And we will not tolerate that blatant immorality expressed onto another individual in society. He can hate gays all he wants, but once he refused service to them he crossed a line. It's no different than if he had refused service to a Mexican or a black, or anyone based on their race. And why is homosexual behavior wrong? Don't say it's "not natural". It's found all over nature and in nearly every species.
@TheNightWatcher138510 жыл бұрын
First of all. Get your religion out of your politics. They never mix well. So since this is a political topic, any reference to religion as justification for your bigotry instantly falls by the wayside. You continuously equate homosexuality to evil and darkness and immorality, which is just bizarre. You might as well go on about the immorality and evilness of pepperoni pizza. Just cause YOU don't like it doesn't make it evil. I challenge you to actually provide a basis for this belief outside the typical "the bible told me so" argument. Also. He didn't hate gays? How would I look if I say I didn't hate amputees but then refused to sell them a set of crutches? All previous claims I may have made fall away and my true nature is revealed. And it's not one of love. And yes, there's no law to serve people you don't agree with, but there IS a law that states that you cannot discriminate based on involuntary factors. Yes, homosexuality is found all over nature. I find it amusing that you say "I never saw two male lions at it on Animal Planet" when lions are one of the very species where homosexuality is well documented! Even the Wikipedia article for Lion mentions this.
@TheNightWatcher138510 жыл бұрын
***** First of all, I'm not an atheist. Second of all, even if I was, Atheism is not a religion. So nearly everything you said in that giant first paragraph falls away. As for naturalism and materialism, I would say that I'm open to the idea of something beyond nature, though as soon as we found it and understood it, it would then become part of the natural. Because that's all "nature" is; the way the universe works according to human understanding. Serve the higher cause? Okay, you want to hear my morality in one sentence? Here: "Anything that increases freedom for the individual is the ultimate good, and anything that decreases freedom for the individual is the ultimate sin!" Simple enough. Note that this morality does not allow for selfishness that decreases the freedom of others. I.E., stealing is wrong. You think your morality is objective? Here's a test: If God asked you to murder a family member, would you do it? If you answer no, then you yourself admit that you're willing to disobey God for your own interests, and therefore he is NOT the foundation of what you hold to be right and wrong. Here's another test: Do you think slavery is wrong? If yes then you admit that you disagree with God allowing it and even setting the ground rules for it, while even the pagan kingdom of Persia next door had already abolished slavery! And yes, I compared sexuality with enthicity and disability because they are all things that cannot be controlled. And therefore it is immoral to impede someone's life and desires over something that is NOT their fault! Lying and murdering to get my way? While I've never murdered anyone I will admit that I've lied a lot. And so have you. Does this make you or me a horrible person? I would say no. It just makes you human. As for killing to get my way? Well I consider life to be good, and if someone were about to end a life, say my own or a family member's/friend's, I would instantly jump in to end the life of the attacker and/or take the bullet for them. Murdering outright is against my morality. "Since that be said, homosexuality increases insecurity, spiritual hindrance, mental stability, etc. It causes havoc for society." Evidence please. Cite the studies. Publish the links to the papers. I want to see what data you drew this conclusion from. I don't very much like you saying this about LGBT people when members of my family are gay or bi. Both are out and proud so no insecurity there. The older one is happily married in a same sex union and has two healthy children. One of whom graduated with honors and one who now works in a tech company overseas. I doubt they could accomplish this with all this supposed mental instability. Oh, and all of them are christian or religious in some way. Again, if sex is ONLY FOR PROCREATION then why did God make it much more pleasurable to just have sex than to have a child be born? And homosexuality is not "needed?" Your air conditioning is not needed either, so you better throw it out. And if God did not intend for homosexual sex to be in the equation, then why did he make it possible? Why did he create the male anatomy with tightly packed nerves in that area? Please explain this! Also, your shoe analogy fails for three reasons: 1. You're assuming that the nature of two unrelated ideas are the same without providing evidence for this. 2. The idea of what makes a "pair" is subjective. I can say that a pair of shoes is simply two shoes together, regardless of their side. 3. Despite two shoes being the same side shoe, you can STILL wear them! And your morality doesn't save you? Tell me, do you consider it good to accept Jesus as our lord and savior? Do you consider it bad to not do so? If yes, since you consider your morality to be objective and therefore must be the same morality as God's, then you ARE saved by your morals. If Jesus loves me then I thank him for the love and I'll gladly consider returning it. But if I only need his love in order to save me from hell (which cannot exist with a loving god in charge) then no thanks because that's not love. That's Stockholm Syndrome. Feel free to block me from posting. I'm only replying because you do.
@jeffwald889210 жыл бұрын
***** The test of killing has already been made: Abraham. Then Jesus came and became the ultimate sacrifice therefore God will not ask us to sacrifice in that way again. (and yes i say killing opposed to murder for murder is in vanity, killing isn't always vain. Example: if an intruder entered your house with intent of raping and murdering your family, God forbid, would you not kill that man to protect those you hold dear? Therefore killing isn't the same as murder. Second you say homosexuality cannot be controlled, You are incorrect. sexual immorality can be controlled. Just because i am tempted, or as you would say naturally attracted or whatever, to another woman does not mean i can't stop myself from committing adultery. Why did God make homosexuality? The same answer can be applied to why did God make murder, or adultery, or theft or and other sin. The answer is to test us. you say that a person can wear two shoes of the same side, you are correct, However the shoes were not made to be worn that way. we can be homosexual, we can steal, we can murder, but we were not made to commit sin we were made to follow God. it was the choice of sin that makes the choice of following God SOOOOOO meaningful. Also, you ask do i believe slavery is wrong. That is a trick question and therefore I say to you "Woe" for your question was asked for the sole purpose of condemning. However, I will answer you question fearless of your deceit. Have you ever heard of a paradigm shift? A paradigm shift is piece of information that on it's own changes the perspective of everything else. an example of a paradigm shift would be the discovery of DNA, a small piece of information that changed everything, Criminal Justice, Medical, History, Everything!!! Take a fish that swims down a river. Most of it's life it saw only riverbanks and fish of the similar species. Suddenly the fish hits the ocean and a paradigm shift occurs. The fish now realizes that the world isnt just rivers and river banks and fish of similar species but there were also sharks and whales and sword fish and a whole new world that is unfamiliar. everything about that fishes perspective has changed. The Bible is full of paradigm shifts. Jesus was a paradigm shift. Before, passover was to celebrate a sacrifical lamb and the bringing of israelites out of egypt. Then Jesus came and said this is my flesh.... and everything shifted. Slavery as in man in forced service to man. is a terrible thing.... NOW!!! back then slavery was a common place and God spoke addressing to all kinds of people. Today, in most places slavery is abolished and shunned. Unfortunately slavery still exists in some parts of the world. and God still speaks to them. God does not approve of slavery as in man in forced service to man, but he acknowledges that it exists and speaks as such. However, there has been a paradigm shift in our eyes that make the words of the bible and it's topics of slavery seem useless now. However our perceptional shift has not forgotten the past, it simply added the new information too it. As we understand slavery we understand our roles in existence. persecution, prison, death, await us but as servants of the Lord we will rise above it. I'm done preaching as im not going to cover every single reason your word are empty, i simply want to point out that they are and you should do some serious inner searching and praying. if you choose to ignore this thats your choice to make. NOTE: please forgive the typos its 5 am here and i can barely see straight right now. lol. in any case i wish you good luck regardless of the choices you make.

All religions see the world in a right vs. wrong mentality. Mine is right and yours is wrong. This thought process creates division. Out of division humanity has created boarders, and started numerous wars. The only thing that can resolve the worlds violence is to tear down the walls of separation and unite under the truth of free will. Free will knows no boundaries. It allows for unconditional love. There are no conditions/expectations one must meet to be loved. With free will, all is possible.

The bible alreafy has evidence of what is going on today. His words are telling the message today yet None will believe in the word of the Lord. Like jesus said, "All shall listen to my story but will never hear" meaning you will listen but never understand his meaning or his truth Cuz you guys dont want to.
