God brings peace and His burden is light. I struggle with that myself. All He wants is you. You just have to believe and accept His gift. The more you want Him and seek Him the more He'll reveal Himself to you. There's no burden or weight with Him❤

I was struggling with my belief too, and I completely lost faith, and started to believe life was absurd. And yet, in my darkest moment I said to myself "God has humbled me of my hubris." God is with you always, even when all you can see is the devil.

Ever since I first heard this song its been a huge inspiration. I use to cry like a baby every time I heard it when I was going through a depression, through just an angry stage in general, and calmed me down a lot when I wanted to just lash out. This band in general just had a massive impact on my life from seventh grade-present. These guys are my heros.

Gotta not let your thoughts about how you see yourself be influenced from those around you or from created formations of a reality even from within your own heart. It's only hard to ignore because the feelings themselves try to force your consciousness to believe it's real because then it becomes real to you. But the truth is that your consciousness gets to expand and grow in any direction, positive or negative, near or far, belief or even unbelief towards everything and anyone. Think of it in terms of no nouns or pronouns. Everything the same way a baby sees it like for the very first time when noticing reality. It's pretty neat stuff. You get to have more free will through going through the pain letting it disperse itself collapsing like a black hole into itself instead of latching on and growing on your neck like a slavery based yoke you can't bear. How you do it is to not judge anything, especially yourself. If there is one thing that evil does not understand it's grace. We have incomplete information even about our-selves so why allow us to believe we can even begin to comprehend a formed conclusion when we aren't even here but a sliver span of single time within eternity's timeline to begin with?

This band is just far beyond awesome. And Ryan Clark is an amazing singer. I don't know how he does it, but he come from singing with a powerful, wrathful voice to singing with a calm, melancholy-ish, but beautiful voice. I guess I can say if this band played in church, it would go to a whole new level, but they would also be speaking truth. They truly are a Christian Metal Band. ✊👊👏

1) I was a believer for 20 years. I understand believers quite intimately. 2) During those 20 years I read the Bible quite often. I read it even MORE often now as a non-believer. 3) If faith can move mountains, then I implore you to go use it to move a mountain. Better yet, use it to regrow a lost limb or eradicate world hunger. (I won't hold my breath) 4) Faith is only required when there is no better reason to believe that something is true. Truth doesn't demand faith. It demands acceptance.

Why don't bands like this get a lot of airplay on Christian radio? I only have Air 1 and K-Love in my town and I honestly can't stand those stations because they play all the boring cheesy Christian music.....
@aray60489 жыл бұрын
Bodorizzi87 Because most Christians don't want to face the reality that the world is a cold dark place with sin and evil everywhere. Also, most Christians don't want to get out of their comfort "bubble" and get out there and make a difference in the world.

Well i don't give a damn if it's a christian band or not. I have lost somebody precious to me due to alcohol problems. I have changed, quit drinking and if there's a song that can describe how I'm feeling right now, remembering what I have become then, then this is it. I just wish I could express myself and my thoughts and feelings to her and get her back someday. I miss her a lot. This is the first band after Johnny Cash, that helps me to keep on going and not giving up on her.

Its true - they're amazing.. I've been into them for like 7 years now and they produce actual music. Thats why there isn't so many views - ppl would rather listen mainstream garbage - And that, I'm entirely okay with - They'll never be mainstream because they have a known religious background. I fell in love with this song so much on an emotional level, that i made my own lyrical version of this song. I live in house of 5 females plus my mom (dad not physically around) so naturally I've always longed for a brother (preferably a you geready bro). over the years that longing grew more and more until I found out that I could've been had a little brother years ago but my mom had an abortion...out of all the ones to have, it had to be what could have and should have been my brother. what made it even more heart breaking is that when I found out, it was through a lot of animosity(basically, me and my mom where not getting along then and some things where said that where better of left unsaid). thus I wrote this(this is just part of verse 1, i didn't want to share the whole thing): Forever dreaming Of your existence Forever tryin To make sense Of why i was chosen For this lonley life Forever longing For a time (You would come to life) That you'd Come to life Its been so hard Knowing you're not here Wishing every day You where by my side

❤ Seeing your heartfelt post 8 years later. Hoping you are still here on planet Earth with us,. If not, hoping you believed on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If you are still alive, I wanted you to know that Jesus loves you. He is with you. He knows the number of hairs on your head. Please let Jesus Christ be your Lord and Savior, so that you can have eternal life. A big bonus for you will be when you get to heaven and get to spend eternity with your brother. All children, including and especially the aborted, all go to Heaven. Your brother is in Heaven now, rejoicing with his Lord Jesus! If your brother could tell you something, he would tell you that you must be born again to enter the kingdom of Heaven. John 3: 16 says," For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son. That whosoever believeth on him, will not perish, but have everlasting life."

I would go further--- it speaks to the feelings of someone who once walked with God and fell away from his path of being the "strong enough Christian" to be strength for others. It's so humbling when you have that moment that you realize just how fucked up everything has gotten-- all you can do is mourn what you threw away and wonder how you can get back to that peace.

@djc0010 alright, fair enough. i can see what you are pointing out in those verses, but what if my use of profanity doesn't hurt others, what if it is purely a means with which I relieve MY aggravation, not used to hurt others?

Yeah...It's harder to find The Color Morale in Pop music, you can't find a Gideon in hip-hop, and you can't find a Saving Grace in country music. The sad thing about modern Christian music is that it's way too fluffy, it doesn't send the message and it only tends to appeal to a certain number of people. Metal doesn't hold back, and it's really blunt with its messages.

I'm a Christian and I believe everyone has their own set of morals. Even if someone's morality disagrees, or contradicts mine I just let it roll of me. There's no use getting into ridiculous quarrels that don't solve anything in the end. If you recall in Matthew it says "When the towns people reject your message, move and wipe the dust off your feet." or something along those lines, it means, tell the people but don't force it, which is basically the short and skinny of it all.

@Deanchester16 As for songs that are similar... Thorns Fading Away Carry Me Down Blood in the Tears Collapsing Tide Began to Rise One Thousand Apologies My Heatstrings Come Undone Deteriorate I would just buy Storm the Gates of Hell... It has a number of slower songs in comparison to the rest. And then just listen through each song once. You'll probably find some of the harder ones to your liking cause of the good mellow parts. Then the harder stuff will grow on you. Thats what happened to me
