The lore behind the sculpture makes turning into a demon sound pretty reasonable

What’s the lore?
@maskdonut1322 күн бұрын
In sekiro, people who killed a lot of humans tend to like it or are addicted to it eventually which could turn them into shura , beings of pure bloodlust that kills everyone in its way. to counteract this people could use the "breath of life", a technique that's used by Isshin to not be consumed by his bloodlust. As for the sculptor, not only that he killed a lot of people but (Minor spoiler) His old friend got eaten by a titan ape, this made him fall to shura (he dunno how to use the breath of life). Once he did or at least close to, Isshin steps in to neutralize him by chopping his left arm off, he then abandoned his Shinobi ways and sculpted many Buddha statues ever since to overcome his anger, from what we know could be for decades, isolated. He eventually gave up and become the demon of hatred, to put you into perspective, demon of hatred is just the lesser form of shura, so u could imagine how powerful a full fledge shura would be. @@theyloveswerzy7326

I'll spoil the entire endgame so If you don't want spoilers don't read So basically the sculptor was a shinobi before Wolf and was going to become shura if Isshin didn't stop him. Couple years later Wolf comes, the sculptor gives him the prosthetic but he still eventually succumbs to shura and becomes the Demon of Hatred. Not really that correct of an explanation but it's the most simple way to understand it

@@primalspongebob6144 Because most of them are pretty similar, Sekiro as a game is amazing, and some of the OSTs are great as well, but still, for me, it pales in comparison to other fromsoft games in terms of music (Don't know about Demon's Souls though)
@thex69923 ай бұрын
@@doge_69og Demons souls is very low key, it even sounds goofy because it's all midi. HO HOHO HO. It fits the original perfectly because it has a very surreal, depressive bad dream esque vibe throughout the whole game. The remakes soundtrack is really good (it's by the same people that made bloodbornes soundtrack which I still think is the best of all time) and there are some real bangers (I like Intro&story cutscene, Old King, Dirty Colussus, main hub, maiden astrea is absolutely beautiful and depressing) but it doesn't fit to the theme of the game itself that much sadly because its not a epic/grand and dramatic game like DS3, BB, ER. Just take a listen if you can't play it yourself and compare the soundtrack of tower knight (original is funny as fuck while the remake should have been in elden ring it goes so unbelievably hard)

Best minor detail is the ofuda covering the sculptor's shrine, seeing as they are talismans to ward off evil spirits, or imprison them.

@@zeromythosver. Definitely. There's a lot of stuff to learn about both Buddhism and Japanese/Shinto culture in the environment in this game. I started playing Bloodborne and I'm also learning a lot there about Victorian/Gothic era stuff now.

Not unlike the Sculptor himself For who knows how many years, trying to carve a non-wrathful Buddha statue, a futile debt of penance to attempt to stave off or prevent his transformation Luckily he did so long enough to help and mentor Sekiro, even if he did succumb in the end Maybe his true penance all along was helping aid the shinobi who went on to break Ashina free from the grip of war
