I always thought Demon Soul's was considered the easiest of the Souls with most of the bosses being entirely gimmicky. All you need to do is find their gimmick to win. Bosses also have less moves and also only 1 form the entire fight. Each boss also has some of the most obvious tells out of the series making them very easy to dodge. Add to that some of the easiest backstab, op magic (really easy to cheese magic), and basically limitless healing items. I mean sure it was the hardest thing when it first released, but compared to the other games it is really easy.

I’m new to from soft starting with elden ring and honestly I think ER or Sekiro are the 2 hardest ones depending on how you play both of them. Blind play throughs make both of those games quite difficult in comparison to blind runs of the other games in the series.

@Jbtheg it depends on how you played elden ring. If you used summons/broken weapons then it’s undoubtedly the absolute easiest one in the franchise bar maybe bloodborne. The souls games are probably a lot easier than you expect tho ngl the older ones have way less fuck shit goin on especially with enemies that roll catch or input read or track you after they started their swing.

I would consider Demon souls one of the easier souls-like games, especially the bosses. The biggest reason why people thought it was hard to an insane degree, was that when it came out in 2009 they had never played a game that was anything like it before because there were basically none in the genre at the time.

Don't sweat it about the first boss, some metroidvanias do this, where they put you in front of an undefeatable boss, to put fear in you or something and then you go on your merry way. Like that Guy in Sekiro at the beginning. You can defeat them after some experience in the game, but they were not meant to be killed easily.

Yeah, pretty much… I remember, taking some getting used to, but falling into the groove, rather quickly I suppose and once that happened the rest was just pretty fast. Paced March toward completion. This is a really fun game and I always thought people overlooked it. I’m glad it’s kind of been given a second chance at life on PS five.
