For pure white character tendency, you can ask a friend to play a pvp with the red stone and kill him multiple times.If he hosts the pvp his tendency wont change while yours go up, and if you host his will go up and yours wont change

Hi Nolan, that is odd. It might be because your Character Tendency was so low to begin with? Now it's moved back to neutral. Had you killed any npcs for example? Also are you sure you are killing the specific blsck phantom NPCs? As enemy black phantoms don't count. Also as well are you mixing up world tendency and character tendency?

Nope I thought the drop to his platform was a quick way to return to the beginning of the level, so I didn't go there. I recorded everything on my channel if you wanna check for yourself, but it's not very well organized lol.

I’ve only killed one merchant so far which I’m sure it affected my character tendency. I’m thinking about going for the demonbrandt sword. If I kill ostrava to get the key 🔑, will the demonbrandt still have reasonable power after I’ve killed a second npc ?

If you kill him using the small fire it shouldn’t effect your character tendency. Attack him until he is hostile and then position yourself so when he comes at you he has to walk into the small fire on the ground :)

Figure this out like this -1 > > > > 0 > > > > 1 if -1 is PURE BLACK CT and 1 is PURE WHITE CT you began at 0. Each black phantom kill moves your tendency +0.2 from 0 (neutral) towards 1 (pure white). So you need 5 kills. Is the same for PBCT each merchant or NPC moves you from 0 (neutral) -0.2 towards -1 (PBCT) Forget about the "icons" as they are only representations on how black or white your tendency is and arguably you only should care if the icon has particles or not as the PURE tendencies icons are very distinctive from all the others...

No no, you start every ‘New Game’ with neutral. New Game + will always carry over :)

Hey again. I just commented on the world tendency video, but I have another question after watching this vid: to change world tendency to pure black, you can die in body form like 7 times and that would do the trick. But, by doing that, dying in body form, do that alters the character tendency as well? I would love to have white character tendency during the whole playthrough but being able to do all the world tendency events, either white or black. IDK if that is possible, though.

Yeha world tendency would go down, it can be annoying! Just try and find different places to matchup and if you get invaded just quit out of the game

since to get invaded you have to be in body form and dying in body form pushes the WORLD towards black... then yeah, if you get invaded and killed by other player your world tendency will move towards black. On the other hand, if you get invaded and you kill the black phantom then both: Your world AND CHARACTER tendencies will move towards WHITE.

You're welcome mate! Ok so go into the world tendency screen and look at the icon it should be glowing white with little white dots flicking out from it. This can be confusing as the icon can be glowing a brilliant yellow-white but wont have the glowing dots flicking from it :)

I think I fucked my character a bit. I achieved PBCT by the end of my 1st playthrough, but I'm struggling with NG+. My character just has too low HP in SF. So, in order to go to PWCT using only PVE, I would need to complete 2 more playthroughs? 1 to reach Neutral, and then another for PW?

Yes. And vice versa. As long as your souls levels are within 10 levels of each other you can be summoned. :)

Can you still pvp if you are not a PS+ subscriber? If so you can get a friend to invade you and keep killing them. Killing the BP NPCs is your only other choice unfortunately and killing all 5 of them wont even get you to pure white :(

Yeah worlds have nothing to do with it. A friend / stranger could invade you multiple times and as long as you kill them enough times you would get pure white character tendency
