im 1 months late, but.. man.. ufotable make it weird for us the audience. yes we watched the movie already. BUT the series contain some stuff THAT ARE NOT IN THE MOVIE. So.. watching season 2 episode 1 until the end of mugen train is A MUST. even though majority of it gonna be the same like in the movie

Tbf I wasn't nearly as hyped about the animation in season 1 either but season 2 completely blew me away which is why season 3 was such a disheartening downgrade. I really hope it at least finishes in a satisfying way

I love all the hashira's we've seen so far but there's something about him i can't explain it .his friendly smiles. He's kind, He has a strong sense of justice and duty he's so admirable so lovable. it's crazy how I end up Loving him this much just in one hour . RIP the goat one of the best anime character

Think about it. All recent hashira's had a horrible past, a different kind of motivation. Rengoku on the other side has one force driving him, he is "strong" so he has the ability to protect the "weak". The only other hashira with a similar motivation is Mitsuri and now guess who trained her. Rengoku is a pure soul, that's what many ppl out there are looking for. Someone who isn't full of shit and not only that... someone who uses his "strength" not to benefit his own profit. Rengoku is lovable? That's Mitsuri's part... he... sets our hearts ABLAZE! Yes, I am not over it...

I love how Akaza showing up then is like an end-game boss showing up at the beginning of a game lol And all the other demons use crazy blood arts and weapons/spells etc. Akaza's weapon of choice? Just these hands lol

Rengoku’s my undisputed favorite Hashira, and that’s saying something, because they’re all fantastic. Consider how much people love Rengoku - and then factor that into Akaza being one of the most popular demons (and my easy favorite). That’s how good the character work is in Demon Slayer - the most beloved Hashira and the villain who slew him are held in similar esteem.

4:35 "That's not Mulan!" No sir, it is not. 😂 Rewatching this with you guys, I had forgotten about that scene inside Tanjiro's heart and how pure it was. A lot of people don't like it when characters are too good and don't really have any flaws to speak of. Normally I agree. But there's something I find so appealing about Tanjiro - for some reason it doesn't bother me that he's unrealistically noble and selfless. Maybe there's something about the way he's written that makes that level of compassion seem attainable. I don't know how to explain it, but he's one of my favorite main characters. Congrats on getting this far in the story! Season 3 is my favorite so I can't wait for you guys to see what goes down.

personally i like to believe that his weakness IS his compassion and selflessness... In a way, and as much as i dislike boyscout super heroes like superman for example, his biggest weakness isnt kryptonite or magic, but his inability to "get rid of a problem" due to his honor, while also putting other people in danger in the future due to the inability to follow through.. and then enemies will use his own people to hurt him, since they sometimes cant hurt him directly, they'd destroy those who he cares about or make him take decisions to either hurt himself or his mission in favor or protecting the innocent... admirable.. but sometimes not a strategical move at a galactic scale

@@iCyberDev Except that isn't a weakness of his. It's the source of his strength, and the reason behind his will to fight. He does not have problems following through. Tanjiro isn't someone who cares about "fair fights". He doesn't want a fight at all. That's the main part of his character we need to focus on. Yes, they may make him take decisions to either hurt himself or his mission in favor of protecting innocents. But that's not a weakness of his, it's a weakness of the person who made up the plan to be unable to account for this. If given a choice, Tanjiro will decisively choose the option to protect people over killing the enemy. It's not a weakness of his, it's his choice and the will he lives by. He is by nature, a peaceful person. He does not fight for "greater good", he fights for "absolute good". There is no compromise with him. He will sacrifice everything he has so that others can be happy, and live their lives without having to face the same horrors he has. As for hurting the people he cares about, that can at most affect him in decision-making, but that is all. Even if they all die, he will only grow more powerful because of it. His will never wavers.

This is a big moment in the series for me because it's quickly confirmed that the Hashiras don't have unbreakable plot armor like Tanjiro does, they can die just like the demons so all of a sudden the other Hashiras aren't completely safe either. Which is something I like tbh, otherwise during fight scenes i don't feel any real sense of urgency if I know for sure they'll survive in the end.

What is most terrifying is that Akaza was toying with Rengoku the entire fight. He wasn't using any of his demon art abilities, he only wanted to recruit him. The Upper Moons are like Earthquakes in that Each Number they go up 6-5-4-3-2-1 is exponentially stronger than the previous number. Like say UM 5 is as strong as 10 UM 6, but UM 4 is worth 100 UM 5's, and UM 3 is worth 10,000 UM 4's. Sort of that kind of scale. Get ready because the story just keeps getting better from here!

Interesting fact, in real life Samurai were always taught to enjoy every meal as if it were their last because it very well could be, so at the beginning Rengoku yelling “Delicious!” after every bite was kind of foreshadowing the ending. RIP Rengoku, my absolute fav character in the series.

Now that you're done with season 1 n the Mugen Train movie, you should watch season 2 episode 1 then you can skip episode 2 thru 7 and start watching from episode 8. 2 thru 7 is basically a "recap" of the movie, broken down in weekly form with some added footage, but enough to notice a difference.

I noticed you guys are confused on the gender of the sleep demon. The demons name is Enmu and he is in fact a male i believe he just happens to have feminine features, wears feminine items, and other various things. To top it off his psychotic behavior and lustful looking blushing when theres pain involved makes him look even more feminine. (The anime doesnt touch on his backstory so if you want google is your friend)

Wdym?! Here we first met Akaza. Without the talking, how can we know his thought process, his desire and character ???! Only fight and no talk?? How are we able to have story then?? 😂😂😂

@@itaatisa8357 We can. Having the talking done before and after the fights. Here the fights take a small amount of time, its cut into segments. Talking in between the segments and discussing the fight or strategy is okay. But to tell me that they have to name every move before doing them, with such cringy names is a must, then you are totally mistaken. Every time there is a climax in a fight, the thoughts of the characters dont need to be said outloud, this will take away from the weight of the actions. Rather, the action should speak for itself. No need for a character to say I am tired in the middle of a fight, that is bad writing. What is better though, is for the character to have a visible tired face and expression. This is basic good writing. I have watched Vinland Saga, now this anime does it right. so dont tell it aint possible.
