Back in the day when I played Vampires the Masquerade I would change the Baali's origins. The way did the Baali was to explain more of the events of the city of Enoch and the Deluge. During the days of Enoch. Caine made more than just three Vampires. There were more of the second generation. One of them was a second Generation Vampire named Lamech who sought to overthrow Caine and obtain his power where he thought those who dare harm him will be damaged seventy seven times more than Caine. When Lamech challenged Caine in a one-on-one fight, it was game over. Caine eviscerated Lamech with one swipe of his clawed hand. Caine would remind his other Children who is in charge, but other Second and Third Generations would try again but trying to gang up on the dark father only to be obliterated as Lamech did. One Vampire who observed the sheer power of Caine was the city's first blacksmith and weapon maker Tubla-Caine who sought to name himself after the dark father. He saw himself very much like his maker Lamech and the dark father before him for he too killed his siblings. Like his maker Lamech, Tubla sought Caine's power but knew he would be destroyed as Lamech was in the process. In order to seek out ultimate power. Tubla-Caine needed guidance and sought the advice from others of his generation. He spoke to others who were not loyal or supportive of Caines rule about the possibility of overthrowing Caine, but they knew Caine is too powerful and had seen him destroy both second and third generations that dared to even try that left only three-second generations standing that were loyal to the Dark Father. Brujah didn't like Caine's rule and would jest about his battle skills about how he is just as good as a warrior as his maker Irad, but would never dare challenge Caine, Absimilliard is a skilled Hunter but is too afraid of the dark father. Ventrue is vain and arrogant but isn't stupid. The only ones who sought that maybe they could take down Caine were Lasombra, Tzcimice, Cappadocious, and Tubla-Cain. After the great flood so many of the third generation Vampires died, leaving only the clan founders as the only survivors. During the flood, Lasombra saw the abyss from the black void, the realm of the Wyrm that would entice him to seek a power greater than Caine. Tzcimice became interested in knowledge in hoping that through experimentation and evolution he could one day take down Caine. Cappadocious sought through gaining power over wraiths, spirits, and possibly Angels, he could one day diabolize the one that is even more powerful than the dark father, the Angellic ruller being Yahweh itself as his method to usurp Caine. Tubla-Caine has washed away from the flood but managed to survive. Instead of rejoining with the rest of his Antideluvian Kindred. Tubla was presumed dead with the rest of the third generation that didn't make it; but Tubla didn't die. He accidentally stumbled into the land of nod where he would encounter Demons who would entice Tubla with knowledge beyond his desires. Seeking to one day face and devour the Dark Father's soul for himself. Seeing the power of these Demonic entities, who were servants of the Wyrm. They showed Tubla forbidden knowledge. With this knowledge, Tubla would submit himself to these Demons and feed them souls in exchange for power and knowledge to one day become a powerful Demonic Vampire who would one day kill Caine and feed on his blood. Tubla would leave the land of nod as Caine did and stumble upon a village where he would convert the villagers there into internalists who would summon Demons into their plain through human sacrifice and throw the bodies into a well. Tubla would gain power from their sacrifices and in return, he would embrace three of the most loyal to him by feeding them his blood. Later the Antidellovians Salot, Malcov, Cappadocious, Tzcimice and others would encounter this village and see what people there are doing only to destroy the village of demon worshipers where they would get the blame for creating the Baali depending on whose telling the story.Without ever knowing it was Tubla-Caine the whole time who sired the Baali clan into existence. Believing that he is dead, Tubla would be free to work in the shadows to spread his Satanic Cult of Baali worshipers, and he will be their high priest to appease their Demonic Masters in hopes of obtaining his reward someday. Where he saw Cappodocious's goals to devour God as stupid and foolish. As powerful as Caine is. The angelic king Yahweh could just wipe anyone and everyone from existence with a mere thought. Obtaining power through pledging himself to powerful Demons would be more amiable. The clan founder Tzcimice would follow the same path when he made a pact with the Demon Kupala. Possibly finding out about Tubla-Caine's survival and methods might entice his desires to improve his desires to change and become powerful himself.

Little correction, baali are not infernalists. They are demon users, no worshippers. Nergal himself wanted to become some sort of higher being even at the cost of cainite and kine society. Nergali themselves have similiar ways to Nergal. Granted they are less subtle than Molochim. Molochim want to rule over cainite society. they don´t want to burn it all to the ground because of it. Granted, there are some in infernalists among baali but the baali and infernalists are not one and and the same. That however does not stop any vampire from becoming a infernalist, any vampire can be an infernalist. Infernalist being in this case vampire that worships demons which baali are not. They do however use demons instead. Other than that, I think you got it pretty right. Also, love your content.

@@julienkouassi617 Thing is, as a baali you don´thave to pay the price of the investment yourself. If you can get somebody else to pay price of investments and deals, all the more better. Why sacrifice your own soul when you can sacrifice someone elses, kindred or kine. And as far as how to do they avoid succumbing to the demons???well, willpower and manipulation and my friend. Baali value willpower, learning and scheming. The name of their clan is the hint, The name Baal means master. Last time time a really influental baali(Moloch) succumbed to blood bond with troile, the methusalah of Brujah clan, They were abandoned by other molochim. So in short, the baali think is that nobody should have control over you, whether your soul, blood or anything else.

Now, Daimoinion on the other hand is a specific bloodline discipline much like the lasombra have potence. And yes, Baali can transform themselves into demons with enough demonic investments. some bloodlines of Baali actually sthrive for that.

Well you did go into detail in some areas but totally missed it in way more important areas. Let me see if i can fix it a bit...for more details please watch my videos on clan Baali, theres a lot of em as its one of the monst divided clans of all so - THE Baali is a misnomer. The Baali are divided from their very beginning into 3 bloodlines all of which have totally different alignments, goals and even powers. The Nergali are your typical stereotypical Baali, they worship demons, make pacts, want to become demons themselves (and at least 2 succeeded at that) They are however pretty open about who they are and what they are, breaching the masquerade left and right and ruling in southern america with unmatched power. The Molochim are directly opposed to the Nergali and think demons are dangerous entities. They frown on bargaining with demons, and they are very secretive, infiltrating other clans disguising themselves as one of them, very successfully so, theres a nice list how many lore characters of a clan are actually Baali, including quite some princes. Molochim are also the only branch in the Tal Mahe Ra and they work with tzimisce Kolduns to keep the Earthbound demons asleep and bound, sacrificng themselves to keep Kuppala at bay. Molochim thus have access to koldunic sorcery and teach dark thaumaturgy to the kolduns. The swarm Baali are aligned with the wyrm and are usually located in the wilds, alongside black spiral dancers with whom they cooperate to taint and corrupt the world. Then there is the Azaneali who are allied with Lasombra Abyss Mysticists and actually have obtenebration as their founder, Azaneal, devoured an ancient something deep under chorazon that turned him uinto a creature of living shadow, rumors are he found and devoured erashkigal. Those 4 bloodlines then subdivide into 5 schools of thought or sects. The destroyers who anna destroy the world, the children of enigma who seek knowledge at all cost, the celestials who want to turn themselves into divine beings, the order of the inner light who seek golcanda and redemption and the rulers who want to rule the world. - Baali are definitely a clan and have always been viewed as such in antiquity and the middle ages. They have a 3rd gen Progenitor are one of the oldest clans around. them having bloodline status is the same reason why cappadocians and salubri are considered bloodlines now - loss of their 3rd gen antedeluvian and small numbers. Officially they are said to be either the least numerous clan or the most numerous bloodline. - the Baali are actually the ones who created thaumaturgy and are the first users of it, they may have taught the tremere how to do it and are its real masters. Dark thaumaturgy and thaumaturgy are by rules almost the same thing and if you know one you can learn the other as if you already knew it using your dots in dark thaumaturgy to learn regular thaumaturgy and vice versa. They are also behind Dur an Ki of the assamites given ur shulgi is Baali as well. Their disciplines are daimonion obfuscate and depending on subset dark thaumaturgy or obtenebration or presence. thats for pure Baali. Converts are actually MADE INTO Baali by blood they keep 2 of their original clan disciplines and gain daimonion as in clan discipline in exchange for making their 3rd clan discipline out of clan They also had the first ever revenant guhl family in tjhe Dhabi and the 13 clans united FOLLOWING THE MOLOCHIM in a war AGAINST the NERGALI. which is very important to differentiate in special ans Moloch himself ruled openly together with the Brujah in carthage making it into their utopia.

I was looking around because I was very interested in the Baali. Someone, or well, two people far as I know, made books to incorporate the Baali into v5. Theres one on storytellers vault/drivethrurpg (only 3 dollars for the pdf on either site) and one on PDFCoffee (free). The difference, at least from what I'm seeing, appears to be in the disciplines. (haven't got the other paid one). The Baali Discipline of Daimonion is probably in both, just with a core difference. Baali of storytellers vault appear to have oblivion in place of Daimonion. In the process, Daimonion has become an amalgam discipline. The pdfcoffee version on the other hand makes it a proper discipline that only they can start with. So needless to say I prefer the storytellers vault variant as far as I can tell. Just thought you'd be interested in that as well! It's not official as far as I can tell, but it's neato. Unless you already knew about it, which is also neato.

CtL and GtSE intrigue me, VtM 5e is neat, is WtF out?) Anyway, I didn't appreciate the thumbnail. We will squint the eye and say, "Is this the one?"
