But, what REALLY separates them is how Lucifer is strong against everything. Magic, the elements, Almighty. No wonder Beelzebub calls him Lord Lucifer. Beelzebub has NO chance of usurping him. Luci makes Death Flies look like a goddamn gimmick.

The only thing I can think of that would have inspired the human design of Beelzebub would be a little pun and homage to the novel "Lord of the Flies" as he looks quite primal but still human. In fact, he looks like he's commanding as if he were supposed to be a reference to Jack who takes command over all of the surviving children on the island save for the 2 main characters. The novel also having many nods to christianity would also somewhat support this but this is all just massive speculation and the only thing I can see being the reason why beelzebub would appear as such.

Ba'al Zebul is the Sumerian God of agriculture. He was the Golden Calf in Moses' story. It was this and his Domain that inspired his demonization to the Lord of Flies.

He mentions this after you kill Red Knight a second time

Ok I want to point something out Ba'al is believed to be the Cannan version of Zues, it's believed that those 2 mythologies have the same origin point, Since the greeks and the Cannan people apparently all come from the same tribe. So it can be argued that there is a lot of information about him. If he is Ba'al, that alone gives a lot's outside of it. Sorry I am a mythology nerd. I will return to my hole.
