It's a stark difference. People use to literally walk 🚶‍♀️ on gold [gold dust ] back then. White Europeans were shocked 😲. No one picked it up of the ground. On the other hand, Africa is STILL full even with 5 centuries of deplication. Uganda + Zimbabwe found billions worth. ** when planets are first formed gold is one of the elements created. How Earth 🌎 was created is WHY there is a mountain of gold and other elements under Africa. But it's also why it's the "ark" as well.

Your knowledge is obviously suffering malnutrition because even the opposition leader is involved so this issue is more complex than what meets the eye. Do you know who allowed the Chinese use chanfangs in our waterbodies? That was John Mahama the opposition leader when he was president between 2012-2016. If you want to talk about galamsey, make sure you get your facts right.

@@harrietacquah2545shut up cos everything he said is true. Why are you trying so hard to protect these corrupt NPP politicians? Abeg, remove that political lens and reason like a human being with love. Even if the president is not part of koraa, he shouldnt keep mute. Because his ministers are involved, he doesn't want to say anything, which is very bad for his presidential record. Lastly, I hate when someone like u refers to the NDC as being the operators. Them being the operators is part of the reason why they were voted out, but NPP came, and have done extremely worst. Still, you are blaming NDC? If u are going to blame the NDC, then what's the point of the NPP in power? Be truthful and stop that politics u are doing because this is not the time for that.

@@harrietacquah2545you’re so right! This actually started under John Mahama, I remember us complaining he’s sold our land to the Chinese. He actually tried to work on it because some Chinese were deported. Akuffo Addo promised to crack down on it when he’s voted into power and he really started, we actually got upset at the beginning didn’t we? When they burnt the machines used for galamsey. Of course there was better use for the equipment, but he tried, and eventually he got swallowed in the whole galamsey sinking mud, and here we are. Unless someone is ready to be almost “tyrannical” in this issue, it will only continue.

@@harrietacquah2545 him saying the president is involved is not saying opposition isn't. People are frustrated and yes the issue is complex and I'm hoping Bernard Avle or someone with vast knowledge provides more insight to the general population soon. The president recently was interviewed in France and claimed it's the courts not him who have jailed citizens. This person's comments is likely addressing that not necessarily saying that it's only the president involved. Let's be respectful of one another.

Anyone who blames this on the current government has no idea about the issue and is only doing politics because election is only a month away. The issue has been there for decades and there is no problem with galamsey itself but the problem is with those that destroy the water bodies which started mainly after the Chinese people started these mining. Galamsey is mainly done on land and there are a LOT of people in the various mining villages who demand on it so it can’t be banned but can only be regulated. Most of the people on TV in Accra have no idea what they are talking about. The people in these mining communities don’t share these ideas that some people in Accra are making noise about. The communities and their leaders need to be much involved.
