Excellent job, this is how to do a showcase/show report! I was hoping to get to DEMU but wasn't able to make it in the end, this was the next best thing. Beautifully shot and edited, with each layout clearly named, and an informative and entertaining descriptive narration that could only have resulted from having a good old chinwag with the layout owners/operators. I realise producing such engaging content isn't easy and thus not for everyone, but hopefully some of the other channels making showcases and show reports will take some inspiration from the way you do it. Cheers. 👍 PS I really enjoyed hearing your boy humming to himself along to the engines and evidently enjoying the layouts - lovely to hear that 🙂

Thanks for the kind comments, I’ll let you into a secret though, I use the show guide to get my info, I would like to have a bit of chat with owners but with my boy in tow he doesn’t really have the patience to stand around and wait, as he gets older hopefully I’ll be able to do that and add interviews to the videos.

I have watch 4 different YT channels show this DEMU showcase 2023. Though yours is one of the shortest, it is the most informative. The only one with commentary and clear indication of the scale and gauge of the layout. Your camera is very steady and your pans are slow which make watch your videos enjoyable.If you could, please add the layout staging areas as well this will give me some indication of the equipment needed to exhibit the layout. My club has a 3600 sqft n-scale (1/160) layout with no staging.

Thank you, I find 20 to 30 minutes is about the right time for a KZbin video (analytics suggest it is anyway) and also because I’m with my lad at these shows he never wants to stay too long at any one layout so footage is limited. I can certainly have a look at including the staging areas in the video, they are master pieces in their own right sometimes. Thanks for watching

Thank you. There’s a small show in roade on the 12th august held by Northampton model club weekend after is Silverfox dcc show on the 19th august held in Milton Keynes. Following that you have n gauge show usually seconded weekend of September, great electric train show in M.k in October, great British train show in gaydon end of October Kettering model club have an upcoming exhibition but not sure when it is, I think triss from OOneal is showing his narrow gauge layout there

Love the layouts there. Don't worry, I would never dislike a video over a lack of steam engines. The only time I would dislike a video if its something vulgar like cruelty to animals or those fear mongering videos but this is harmless. So its guaranteed a like from me. Keep up the great work mate.

No worries Ken, that’s why I try and film as much as I can when I go to shows because even if a layout isn’t your cup of team interest wise, there can still be spectacular modelling to appreciate. Thanks for watching
