Then why could no one else create a similar howitzer until years later? Why did Australia just now buy South African howitzer ammunition for their American made howitzers?

He’s so incredibly proud of a machine that is made to blow human beings into tiny bits and pieces at the whims of politicians who will never be at risk. A sad, sad, life. (BTW, artillery is not just suppressive fire, it’s by far the most deadly and effective human destruction machine on the battle field, credited with far more kills per battle than men with rifles or any other system.)

The first world war, most battlefield casualties were by artillery - something like 65%, the second war, it was small arms fire - usually machine guns (battlefield).

Canadian design I think you'll find . It was designed by Gerald Bull, (who also redesigned the artillery ammunition) and supplied to South Africa via Spain. An Austrian company bought a license to manufature and export the guns, and so did an Israeli company, amongst others such as China, and now even India. The only thing that Gerald Bull wasn't responsible for in some way shape or form in this vid was that tractor vehicle.
