Ms.Williams, I have been a fan of your for DECADES! Some of us from Chicago used to go Skating in Gary at 'Screamin' Wheels on some weekends, so I also love Gary, IN. I want you to know that we all know your are one of the Legends! Since singing Backup for the late, great, Minnie Riperton, you have forged your way in the Music industry. I too grew up COGIC, so I am familiar with some of the struggles you have also faced. I miss hearing you hitting those Octaves, as only you can......SMH!!!

Deniece Williams is in my opinion the best singer of her generation and in my top five starting lineup of best female singers of the 20th century. 21st century divas should thank God she’s not coming as hard now as she did in the 70s and 80s. If she did, most of today’s vocal VIPs would still be waiting at the bar for a table, let alone receiving the display table treatment they’re now getting.

One of my fav singers of all time. I use to search the radio on my Mom's old stereo.(The one that looks like a piece of furniture and opens like a coffin) waiting for my song "That's What Friends are For". At first I thought it was Sister Sledge. It sounded like a female group to me. I didn't know about multi track harmonies at the time.

Why people just can't understand there will always be people that will appreciate Prince Rogers Nelson's genius and his contributions to society and the music community. Those of us who love him and adore him can take a joke and anything you want to dish out but it will never take away the respect and wonderful memories we have of him it’s not a pedestal it call respect for a beautiful intelligent Black man just like they give White men in society, for less. I’m going to lift this musical genius Black man up I don't care what anyone has to say about it, he gave us 35 plus years of the best of his talented life, and he deserves our support not dragging through the mud, but jokes are okay like I loved when he wore his yellow outfit and bent over then the juicy yellow melon came out, I called it sunshine; because I got 2 see a crack of sunshine 😅😂🤣😀😁😁 I also he will have his haters and that's okay, a matter of fact that’s good, it means he had it going on and it gives him even more validation alone with his talent and skills. Why was she worried about the stuff in the fridge? Did she show up with a bag of groceries? More than likely, she was there to lay down some vocals and bounce. Prince, on the other hand, was a self-contained artist and lived in the studio. The amount of time and money he spent in that studio probably exceeded several artists, combined.

@@biancachi6435 In all fairness to Ms. Williams, every artist brings their own vibe, and I suppose the unexpected color and other things changed the energy a bit. Just a wild guess: Prince was probably trying to be low-key seductive and requested that the things be left behind...if so, as cool as I think he was, he probably shouldn't have assumed she'd be comfortable just because he liked the room that way. 🤭Or, maybe, because he was such a perfectionist, he left the studio later than expected and it didn't get cleaned out. 🤔
