"Verhovina" a gyerekkorom motorkerékpárja. Mint a "Riga" is. Éjjel-nappal motoroztunk az erdőkben és a szántóföldekre vezető utakon. Mert vezetői engedélyt 10-13 éves gyereknek nem adtak. Szép emlékeket idézet nekem ez a videó. Mert ezeket a motorokat mi is szerelgettük állandóan, hogy még jobban, még gyorsabban menjen. Jó volt látni ahogyan megújultak ezek a régről ismerős alkatrészek, és az egész motorkerékpár. Köszönöm! Profi vagy!🙂👍👍

My first bike was this type, in 1981... I thought about, during watch the video, that this is not restoration, because you not made factory state back. But it is better than a new one in the 80's :-) The motor was so weak, and there was a lot of other problem. Only one that I liked, its shape, and that it was mine. :-) Thank you for the memories!

Мотор можно восстановить) А вот все эти резинки, пластмассы и прочие подобные вещи только на выброс, они уже кончились окончательно. Они рассыхаются, клеить их бесполезно.

В 1982 году мне 12 лет и мне купили такуюже новенькую Верховину, они в тот год уценились до 136 рублей,как устаревшие, ибо начали выпускать Карпаты и Riga с электронным зажиганием. Первый в жизни мопед это наверное круче чем первый секс. Спасибо, окунул в детство.

i am cuban and i am very familiar with this bike, my dad was awarded a karpaty 50cc (apologies for not knowing how to write it). That was my house life line, my father, my mother and I all 3 of us in a 50cc, he burned the clutch, karpatys were notorious for that so he when back to his shop and did the 2 pressure plate set up the Verkhovyna had. When I was 9 he upgraded to his big bike as we called it, a minsk 125cc which he coverted to a 150cc swaping the cylinder from an old mz ts 150cc....I love this bikes, big and small, they are part of my cuban life, many many km's from Russia....awesome video

It made me chuckle a couple of times! :) You'll have to work on your mechanical / painting skills a bit, but that will come with time. She looks graceful even in unrestored state. I loved the motorbike era when design was pleasing to the eye as well as efficient and functional. Now the makers just cover up the motor and works with plastics. No art in that.

Interesting video by an amateur restorer. He used the tools that he had at hand and improvised when he didn't have what he needed. Good job! He restored a 2-cycle motorcycle and at the end, he is riding a 4-cycle motorcycle! The exhaust sound is completely different! Oh well, it must be the Russian/Soviet humor!

The casing and con-rod were cracked, huge bearing play. Subtitles said he therefore decided to scrap the engine, and showed chucking it on the scrap pile. :)

Доброе время суток всем. Верховину узнал сразу. Я о ней даже и не мечтал. Просто ходил в спортивные магазины и видел, как счастливчикам отгружают. Мне бы и Риги11 хватило. На дэшнике. Но, не срослось. Сейчас я пока автовладелец, но мне "его" уже не надо. Грустно и приятно в одном флаконе.

Интересно у него там вначале "Верховина-6" с рижским мотором Ш-58 в конце превращается в "Верховину-5" с ковровским Ш-57

....там трещинки были в половинках картера и он поставил другой моторчик .... Ш - 57 он лучьше , он же с педальками .....а S -- 58 с лапкой заводилкой а с ней такое мучение .....
