I love everything about this interview. The questions, the answers, the audio, the timestamps and moreover, the fact that he is a person with whom english speakers would love to have information about but, because of the language barrier, wo know so little about. With respect to what he said about CoC, yesterday Todd Hutchings posted a video about the excercises he things are useless for armwrestlers and he mentioned the Captain of Crush

Yeah, I've heard some American armwrestlers initially thought him a brute but when they got to know him they were surprised by his intelligence. He's also a lot more technical at the armwrestling table than people give him credit for. Well, ever since he lost to John he is. With this interview he confirmed my assumption that he thought he was strong enough that he didn't need to work on technique before that. He realized his mistake and went on to dominate anyone he faced since then, John included.

Thank you Matt, we finally have the answer to that Larratt failed negotions! So Devon and Neil offered money bet that winner takes all and Denis did had to bring money but refused because its was unsertain in general and they wanted Denis to go somewhere in north amerika with rules he is unfamiliar. And then Tsyplenkov gave Larratt same offer but come to Russia and lets do it and Devon did not want it. This is very important to hear because all we have heard from both Neil and Devon so far was just " for some reason matsch never happened" and they just leave it there. Now we know why. It was poorly setup by Neil and Devon and they wanted all the advantages go to Larratt. Fair game is what Denis does not some shady shenanigans 👍 Top tier reporting Matt and now i will finish this video full i just instantly jumped to that part 😄

LOL, so you mean the AW ruleset which had been in use for years. So basically Denis Didn't want to travel and pull in an armwars rule set, likewise Devon didn't want to travel to Russia and pull in PAL. Please explain how this is any worse for one more than the other. Neither wanted to travel and pull under a ruleset that they didn't train for. Careful your bias is showing.

@@Average1212 Only rules Denis mentioned was Wal with flying elbows and whole setup was kinda poorly taken like he said. Neil and Devon did make it so Denis had to bring money and winner takes all. This part is untold by both Devon and Neil. When Denis sayd ok come to Russia same deal Devon didnt take it. 100% they wanted Larratt to have all advantages but when tables are turned its not okay. This just kills all talks i have seen Devon fans saying "Denis was scared" and kinda puts in bad light both Devon and Neil. Why they coudnt just tell everyone this was offer and he didnt take it? And lets take another look: Denis did go to Usa and pull in fair competitions with others. Lupkes and Chaffee. Somehow Devon is just unable to do this, mans wants all advantages for him. Im all for Denis, he has pulled in all fair competitions for decade against all, there was just one man who didnt come and play. Chaffee and Brzenk went to Russia, Devon did not. You can see why Tsyplenkov has all respekt for them...

He actually said that he would like it starts on a strapped hook(and he also said that it is the best position for his own style), but important that he also said (a few times) that current rules is better for another style and it might be better to find some middle starting point equally good for all styles not only for one. What I personally like is Idea about to fighting in a sitting position... very interesting.

Большой и тяжелый труд, скромность, уважение к своим соперникам до схватки и после победы над ними, все черты настоящего русского богатыря. Здоровья и долгого спортивного долголетия Денису! Мэтт, спасибо за интересные вопросы!

@@SovietUnionn well as a hook puller I must say the setup in WAF competition is AWFUL for me. It favours toproller a LOT

@@justaguyfromreddit Yes it does. Never actually thought it way Denis sayed it: start in hook as in default.

Excellent interview. Probably the best Cyplenkov interview ever as far as time for him to explain in great detail his experiences and opinions, etc. Great job!
