His strokes are just amazing. It's hard to think of anyone who gets so much work on the ball, but also strikes it so cleanly. His backhand is a totally offensive shot. His forehand blurs time. When he is on, he must be a nightmare to play. A deep run at a slam is coming for him. His game is just ferocious. One of my favorite players to watch right now.

I’ve never ever seen a player play as smoothly and as effortlessly as Federer. But Shapapolov is extremely close. He hits the ball so cleanly with minimal effort. I’ll be rooting for Denis hard after Roger retires.

The ball just launches off of his racquet. His technique is so efficient. He’s so light on his feet and then quiet as a still life at contact both sides. Best 1 handler lefty I’ve ever seen.

Aserve Yout I hit w a one hand backhand, make sure you use the right grip, bring your racquet back far, early and low, then when you swing think as if you’re pulling a sword out of a sheath and lastly make sure to follow through fully to put topspin on it. Go try it out! Good luck!

The 2 handed backhand can be an equally beautiful stroke with the right technique. Check out some clips of Marat Safin or David Nalbandian. Their 2 handed backhands are beautiful.

iPhone X in 4k 60fps (you need to use Chrome browser to be able to watch in 4k). Wide angle lens (which is the default lens for the iPhone, not the tele). I normally use FilmicPro to shoot video at max bitrate (FilmicExtreme) since it's better than the stock iOS camera app, but I shot all of my IW videos with the stock camera app because using FilmicPro at max bitrate is a big battery hog. The distance from the baseline to the back fence/wall at many of the practice courts at IW isn't that much longer than normal tennis courts.

I know that Dennis is young and doesn't have the consistency of the top 5 or so, but man I love his natural fluidity of the strokes. Federer is almost as fluid.
