I had the privilege of seeing these guys in concert back in 1979. That was over 40 years ago, and it's all kind of a blur now, but when I think back on that night, I still remember... how good of a performance they put on musically and visually. I also will never forget the moment when they paused the show and gave the trumpet player a few minutes to do a trumpet solo by himself. This was in honor of the Atlanta child murder victims. The Atlanta child murders was an unfortunate event that was happening around 1979. I shall never forget how moving that solo was. Everyone in the coliseum was quiet and the trumpet player held the most beautiful hi note for about 30 seconds during his performance. This band was truly worthy of the utmost respect!

But I had rhythm ever since, always will, all because of disco...maybe Solid Gold too! Lmao, what a time in history...But, Ladies Night is my 1st groove for ever!

First saw K&TG in the late 80s (London, last-minute tickets) - still one of the best nights of my life ... just a massive party full of happy people, dancing and singing along.

Fantastic band . Grew up with this jazz funk music. Seen them live Edinburgh early 80s . And later out in a little music festival in calella de palufrugall northern Spain. Actually they joined us at the bar outside . Lovely genuine people . And down to earth. Fantastic .

God I miss this period of time. The tunes were SOOO good and it was all about the music with no auto-tune. This was before MJ got hooked on prescription meds, everybody was healthy and life was GOOD. Brings tears to my eyes knowing what would become of so many great performers of our time but they gave the world a special part of themselves that will always be with us.

*_KOOL & THE GANG... ESTUPENDA INTERPRETACIÓN, EXCELENTE RITMO Y REPERTORIO MUSICAL ÚNICO EN SU ESTILO. SOBRETODO, LAS ÉPOCAS DE LOS 80's y 70's, EN MI OPINIÓN, LAS MÁS GENIALES DÉCADAS DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS. SERÉ POR SIEMPRE, ADMIRADOR Y FANS DE TAN EXTRAORDINARIO CANTANTE..._*
