I really enjoyed listening to Denise. I had post natal depresson nearly 30 years ago after I had my son. My midwife tried to tell me I didn't. But the first 9 months after my son was born are just a blur. And, like she said, it left as sudden as it came. I'm sure Denise's book will help alot of people.

Denise is a real gem and I look up to her particularly with her struggles, weight depression. I'm a fellow sufferer and the similar reasons. Mine came about in the first instance. When my periods arrived all those many, many years ago and basically it's something I have since discovered has been in the female line of our family for many minutes. Unfortunately I was the one that it landed on on this occasion. So I have had to learn to live with it to, if I can as best I can. I will get her book gladly. God bless you. Honey. God bless all.❤❤

Such a lovely lady,and very open and honest about an awful illness,and that comes from someone who has had mental illness on and off all of his life. I think l will get hold of this book. Love Denise 💖!

Hope you get the book, if not look in your local library there are many books out there now that will help you. Also many help organisations, you will have heard about The Samaritans and they are not just there for suicidal folk, they are their to listen and help you. Another free phone line is Silverliners, this is a free helpline too but for folk over 50, they are their to listen, however they cannot give as much support as The Samaritans as was proved to my friend who was advised twice that 'other calls are waiting'!

Its not true that you feel nothing with depression, at least in my case. I feel unbearable levels of sorrow, anguish and utterly alone in this world.

Same. I have insomnia too with it so I cant even escape in sleep. I feel mental pain and agitation, not eating properly and lying in bed all day but not sleeping .

It will depend on the type of depression that the person is suffering with. I presume you have spoken with your GP about how you are feeling, if you haven't then you need too.

Same here Denise. Mine started after having babies gotpost natel. Depression. . Been suffering a long time. But a lot years back tried working out of depression. But also found that post natel. Depression was still there with out me realising. But too of my babies did die driving this time too. And they took my other daughter son away cause I had serverly bad post natel depression. I ask them to look after my children till I was better. But social servies just stole my children. My last child was born 3 months early. So had special needs and he got took away. Too but have seen him thew out his life. Years ago they said I had clinicle depression years ago. X

What if it never leaves?
@deniseroney14 күн бұрын
Those two words 'what if' should be banned within the mental health arena, they instantly feed doubt, curiousity and anxiety. ie, I better not go out because 'what if' I fall over. I better not carry that shopping because 'what if' the bag strap breaks, I better not take that exam because 'what if' I feel. You cannot live your life on What ifs and each negative statement like a 'what if' one will feed directly into negative which begins one circle of depression, anxiety, start positive and get change it to SO WHAT!
