I was alone with our two cats for Thanksgiving since my husband had to travel for work. I didn't mind, though. I'm a vegetarian and straight up the Thanksgiving Grinch 😂 I spent the day decorating for Christmas and had pizza for dinner, and I wore Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit 😊

@DeniseAdore It was nice and relaxing 😊 I just wanted to add since I'm also into working out and work from home that, for me, my single best investment was a treadmill. I use it every day. I get in about 5k steps before work, and throughout the day, I'll get up from my desk and walk for like 5 minutes. I also do yoga and strength training, but I have periods when I feel overwhelmed and those things get put on the back burner for a week or two, but my daily steps are nonnegotiable. I'm on my third treadmill at this point LOL. Anyway, I just wanted to throw that out there. It's good to see you really get into health and fitness. I'm here for it 🙂

The part of the mammogram that HURTS is when they pull the breast up and place it on the platform....for those who have sensitive skin under the undercarriage.... that part!!! And the roughness from the Tech does not help.

I’m the same with my list when I’m in Walmart. When it comes to washing clothes, i put the washing beards in the washer for the next load. Even if I don’t wash until the next week. I do keep the top up on the top loading washer bc I refuse to have my washer smelling like mildew. Sometimes I leave beards and some clothes so they will smell extra good until wash day.

I’ve had some good and bad mammograms. I have dense breast tissue so sometimes the results could be a little scary at first. Hopefully you’ll have a facility that doesn’t have painful mammograms. It depends on the facility I enjoyed the vlog

You could maybe ask your ob/gyn about getting on bioidentical progesterone. It helps with sleep. Some women around our age find big benefits from using progesterone in the peri menopause years. I’ve been on it over a year; sleep got better for sure. Love your vlogs!

I just recently had my mammogram done after missing last yrs routine appt. I understand the nervousness, my very first time I had to get a biopsy, my results came back normal. For me it’s a bit of discomfort due to the angle/pressure/having big boobs and my sore shoulder. Wishing you a team of understanding & gentleness like I had when you go for your appt💕

I agree, I had to have one a few yrs ago (I was in my late 20s at the time), due to having a lump found during a self-exam (it turned out to be a fluid filled sac that went away on its own). The exam was not bad at all, they had an updated machine (I guess), it wasn’t cold and it didn’t cause me any pain at allll. In my opinion withstanding some moments of discomfort is better than not knowing what’s going on with your body. There is a rise in cancer and all these diseases so we should all make sure to get our yearly check-ups, especially black women!!!!

Normally i cook and everyone would come here, but my brother bought a home so the last 3yrs i've been cooking at his place and then get on the highway and come home, i'm always happy to see everyone but i'm even happier when i clean up and i go home, but i did tell my brother i'm not coming to cook at his house because it's a lot and to much twisting and turning, he was like what i said yes because were all comiing for 1 area to drive 2 hrs away when it's easier for him to come this way.... I’m starting to do the same so I can hopefully be more inspired and it becomes a part of what I’m doing. Having a partner def helps but we gotta push ourselves sometimes. Chiiillee men can stop drinking juice for three days and lose ten pounds let us and we’ll gain fifteen 😭. I hope you and a good thanksgiving. I switched my scent this year (usually angels share) and wore palo santo and cashmere from DK. You def have to celebrate your birthday!! Def stay up on all your preventative tests boo. It can be scary yes but so necessary 🫶🏾 working from home is def a trap I did good my first year but now the pounds started piling on so you’re doing the right thing getting a tracker. It def motivates you to get up. My Apple Watch just broke so lemme check this one out.

We thank God your grandmother is a survivor, this also means that there is a family history. We rebuke it in the mighty name of Jesus. My Beloved mother’s BC was first detected at a stage 4, BUT GOD! Many people do not believe me when I tell them about His grace and favor and how He kept my mother. Because of her faith, she was healed. Now, back to you, the mammogram itself is uncomfortable. I’m being very transparent with you; However, it’s not as bad as people say they are. I compare all of my pains to labor and a toothache and NOTHING has surpassed them yet!! Please 🙏🏾 please go get the girls checked, and yes. I’m holding you accountable. I will be revisiting this post to ensure that you have followed through. Love ya, Chickadee 💓
