Totally agree with you Denise. I tried the spray on my TofB Starly and loved the look, however, when I put Starly on the next time, it did feel dirty to me and I washed it after that one wearing. I think the spray is great for the occasion when you want that extra something.

I love that sea salt spray I would suggest Sprayng in your hands and then scrunching and working at the roots and you'll find that you use less and I don't feel that stickiness or the left over.... Just a suggestion❣

Joyce Z I agree with you Denise, too much makes it seem dirty like when you use too much product on your Bio hair. But it is great in small quantities to amp up a style. I also think it is really expensive if you use too much of it. Thanks for the review of it.

Hi Denise. The smell doesn't bother me, it does smell a bit like the salt air at the beach. I have an Estetica Mackenzie wig that I wasn't wearing because it was nothing like the pictures in the ads. Those shows gorgeous waves and loose curls. Mine arrived basically stick straight with barely a wave to be seen. The bangs also just fell flat into my face, not at all what I anticipated based on the model photos. As a last ditch effort, I sprayed her down with Sea Salt Spray and crunched and crunched the hair. While I didn't end up with waves or curls, I did achieve a thicker texture, which makes her not appear as limp and straight as she was when I purchased her. Long story short, she will never be my favorite wig, but at least I can wear her occasionally now. Many thanks for your review! I totally agree that this product works as it states it will. I purchased some of this when you recommended it to me awhile back. I love how it works. I think it does exactly what I purchased it for. Like you, I don't like to use a lot of products on my wigs because I don't like how the fibers feel w/product on them and feel I end up washing them more frequently. I do have multiple wigs in the same style, so I have been choosing to use this and other products on just one of each of those styles and then I can change up that look by just changing pieces. I find I don't go through as much product that way and can go longer between washings. Always love to see you in Jules....so dang cute!! 🤗❤

Thanks! I don’t like using products on my wigs either. It really makes them dirty faster. Scent is such an individual thing. I normally buy everything I can scent free but love the smell off Sea Salt Spray and find that it is almost undetectable when dry.

I had sea salt spray for my hair, it worked by giving me some texture but yes, it's sticky and it stayed until i washed my hair, I grew up near the ocean and going to the beach and having sea water on my hair I knew the pros and cons, it works but like you say, you are stuck until you wash your hair, made the hair a bit dry and caused some hair damage, I don't know if i would used it on my wigs but probably not, that wig is very cute.

I agree about your review on this product I have found that it worked great but the next day it was grimy feeling an I had to wash it ....I’m back to using my water spray bottle....any other ideas?

Honestly, none that will work. I will definitely try experimenting with some things but my belief is that we can either have "clean" feeling wigs with less styling potential, or we can style the heck out of them and make them feel grimy (liked the word you use). The only styling that doesn't do that is accessories... but that doesn't help when you want to amp up the curls or volume. One of my friends suggested getting a second wig in that style and only use product on one of them... so on days you don't want that feeling or look you can wear the other. For people with the means I think that is a great idea!

Denise - have you ever tried a scrunch spray made for our bio hair on synthetic wigs? They work well giving volume and amping up my curl and they too get a little sticky - but they are probably a lot less expensive. In general, can one use regular products on synthetic wigs - hair spray, gel, etc.? If not Denise, can anyone comment for me. Thx. ME in PA

My understanding is that you can use regular products on wigs. I use regular hair spray on occasion (very rarely, like all products). I also use a regular hair serum which I will be showing in a future tip Tuesday! I am starting to experiment more with this things and will report back 😉

I use morrocan oil brand lite oil on my wigs to reduce frizz and add softness. No residue and works great. I use human hair products on my wigs, mostly leave in conditioners. Try at the nape first, see how you like it.

I think it's much better to Google make your own sea salt spray it's cheaper using only natural ingredients. No long list of ingredients and smells beautiful is you add whichever scent you like 👍

I am still finding my way with wigs. I haven’t worn any that I have purchased...mostly shortish inexpensive ones like PY Dance, Shannon and TB Trendsetter and Glamorous. I bought the JR Piece Out and Tresemme extra hold which someone said Toni Brattin uses on her wigs. I really don’t have a clue what products to use for various problems on various style wigs. I am extremely mature...ie as old as dirt... so don’t have any of the beachy wave looks. Does the salt water spray have different uses than the Piece Out or Tresemme? Being on a budget, I want to figure out what I really need. Always look forward to your vids...learn so much from you 💕💕

Is the Tresemme Extra Hold a hair spray? If so then no, it is not the same. If you want to do what I did with something less expensive, you can find a sea salt spray at the drug store I am sure.... I have heard from many wig sisters that human hair styling products work just fine on Synthetic wigs. The only regular "off the shelf" human hair styling product I have tried on wigs is Pantene Air Hold hair spray and it seems to work just as well as the wig specific type. Jon Renau Piece out cream is more of a styling cream that I would use to redirect fibers, or tame flyaways. I do think they have different uses. Let me think on this topic some and come up with a helpful Tip Tuesday video. 🥰
