I have been on Keto for about a year and have adopted it as a lifelong journey. I started at 175 and am now down to 137. I am 5"1" so I carried that weight in my midsection. Like you, I have thyroid issues and take medication. With Keto, I am rarely hungry and can stay in ketosis quite easily. I have combined it with intermittent fasting so don't eat before noon or after 6. I have so much energy and the swelling in my legs has diminished. The weight loss is great, but like you, I have a body that greatly benefitted from the elimination of foods that caused inflammation and uncontrolled cravings. Before Keto, I lived to eat. Now, I eat to live. A so much better place to be. I hope your excitement will help others to discover Keto and allow them to get the results we have achieved. Thank you so much for sharing your journey.

Denise, thank you for sharing your keto journey. I, too, have been on Keto since April, 2023. I have lost over 25 lbs since then. I am a very reserved person but I attend core conditioning classes in my neighborhood and several women in my class have mentioned how I look so good. I told them that I am doing a Keto eating program. I mentioned that I did 16 hour intermittent fasting and would not eat breakfast, only coffee, and not eat until 4pm. This helped me to lose my 25 pounds. One lady in my class said that she could not go without her breakfast and refused to go on KETO. I thought to myself that she doesn’t know how unfortunate but she is not even willing to try. I love my keto program. I am now an ultra focused individual loving my life. I will be 76 years old in November 2023.

Eventually after I regain my health I will fess up, but I know there will be plenty of opposition. Government drilled that food pyramid into our heads long ago and it is hard to dislodge.

I did keto for 13 years beginning in 2010. I maintained a 45 to 50 lb weight loss. I am 5'2" and now 64 years old was 164 lbs at my heaviest. Went to 112-114. Never did meds, no alcohol or tobacco for 30 years. Best takeaway was mental health, no more debilitating depression. HOWEVER, as I aged, the cravings for sweets got worse and worse. I battled it with keto friendly homemade treats, but found that the weight keot trying to creep back on, so yoyo of 6-8 lbs the last 4 years. A d anxiety started to get worse and worse. And so did violent coughing from emphysema, arthritis pain, hair loss, and IBS. Some months back I watched Dr. KenBerry and Mikhaila Peterson. I decided to give carnivore a try, and did so on July 17th 2023. I do beef, fish, bacon, eggs, ghee. No dairy. Violent coughing fits stopped, no arthritic pain, NO anxiety, no cracked painful heels, no IBS! No more awful food cravings. Gave up stevia too, was giving me candida. No coffee, do not miss it funnily enough. I'm now able to walk without having to stop and catch my breath! Carnivore for life for me. Please DO continue to share your journey. You look wonderful, I'm so happy that you found keto and feel better. I've learned so much from your wig videos and always point new wig wearers your way. Dairy caused a weight and health stall for me, so I eliminated it with great benefits. I am now 100-102 lbs, feeling SO MUCH BETTER! Much Love from New Mexico USA!❤❤❤

Congratulations on your weight loss. I did keto and released some of the excess weight. Tried to do carnivore because I want to have more energy and less depression and anxiety, as well as to release the rest of the excess weight. But can't eat beef or pork. So, in order to enjoy poultry and fish, I desire a little bit of sauce, like ginger chili sauce, which has some sugar. Or ketchup that has no high fructose. But while trying to do carnivore, I'm having and giving into cravings for sweets. I guess I just want to know if anyone else who can't eat beef or pork has tried carnivore and been successful. I'm guessing the sauce makes it not true carnivore. Congratulations to the lady in this video too. I stumbled upon your video today. I'm happy for you in your healing and weight loss too. And enjoyed your video. Peace. Shalom.

I started watching your wig reviews in July when I decided to buzz my thinning hair and wear wigs. I have loved how closely your experiences have matched mine. I have accepted my baldness now with joy and adventure. I'm now 77 and seven years ago I weighed 298 (5'5"). Then I retired, moved out of Seattle to a 2.5-acre farm, and within a couple of years was diagnosed with lung cancer (non-smoker BTW). Lost 50 pounds over the next 5 years for obvious reasons. At the same time developed type 2 diabetes mainly because of steroid medication needed for my treatments. In June of this year my diabetes was out of control and I made the choice to go Keto. My glucose readings are now low and I've lost 30 pounds. My goal is to get under 200 before my next birthday (I'm 219 right now). I was 198 when I married my adorable husband 44 years ago so it's about time. I've been doing it all on my own hit and miss with the help of KZbin but you've encouraged me to get more serious about the right way to do it. Oh, and I now have 5 wigs and a blonde one on the way and my cancer is in maintenance (not remission) as long as my oral meds keep working! Feeling good and looking good now!! Thank you so very much!!!

Great video!! I did keto after surgery and continued for over 6 months. I lost 60 pounds and was full of physical and emotional energy. I started "flirting" with flour products. Soon I was craving carbs and slowly regained all the wait I had lost. The problem was not with the Keto diet, but with my testing my boudaries with refined carbs. Sometimes I can eat carbs in moderation and do fine;more often I can't. Keeping any emotional triggers in check with prayer and Christian meditation is my biggest help. Thanks for reading!

Hi Denise, I've watched your wig videos over the last 6 months and could tell you were losing weight. I wondered what you were doing and am glad that you shared. I started my life changing health journey in Aug. of 2021, 195lbs. 5'3'' and in 11 months lost 75 lbs. doing keto then going more into the carnivore space. I have been maintaining since then. People tell you that it's harder to lose when you are a woman and older. I'm 65 and have never lost weight this easily or quickly. I got rid of the neuropathy symptoms in my feet, join pain and stiffness, word blocks and a weird swallowing issue. I admit to being a food addict and that I needed more than just a way to lose weight. For the addiction part, I recommend Dr. Cywes. Watching his youtube videos gave me the missing pieces to why I would always regain any weight I lost. I also have read Keto Continuum by Dr Boz and watched her videos as well as videos from Dr. Ken Berry, and Dr. Eric Westman. So glad that you are getting healthy and telling others how you are doing it. Thanks for sharing!

I had severe health issues as well in addition to stomach pain that would leave me in bed for hours which used to entirely drained my energy. Meds and doctors preferred diet for 8 months didn’t work. Tried several diets and life styles to no avail. Stumbled across keto at the end of 2017 and decided to give it a strict shot. My sharp stomach pain have disappeared within the first week. I started feeling energetic and sharp minded. Noticed the weight loss but that wasn’t my goal. Ended up getting rid of all my health problems, opened my own business, learned new skills, and still thriving. Lost 160 pounds (again, wasn’t my goal, just wanted to get rid of pain) and would never chose any other lifestyle.

It is exciting when people can actually begin to see their body is healing because of the changes they have made in what they eat. It will take time but your body will continue to heal as you keep going. I like to encourage people to focus on the healing aspect and not the weight loss. Weight loss is a by product of the healing. The healing is the main focus. I am so happy and excited for you and I hope and pray you will continue to see positive improvements as you go. 🙏😃

@@heywigsisterI have watched your wig reviews off and on for 4 or 5 years. I too have thyroid issues and hair loss. I love wigs and even if my hair came back I would still wear my more versatile 'hair", I bought it and it's MY HAIR!. I too have done multiple diets thru the years from Dr. Katahn(sp?) back in the 70's before I became educated and learned FAT was not the baddie! Then in the 90's, I did Atkins but felt bad, kidneys were stressed. Segued over to Suzanne Sommers (she had just written her 1st book, "Eat Great Loss Weight" and lost 30 in 3 months. Now mind you, my top weight around 138/140 was many people's goal weight, but I have tiny bones and at 5'4" I was very overweight for my frame, small bones, shoulders, etc. I really benefited tremendously from Suzanne's books particularly her emphasis in her follow up books detailing the sugar element/culprit...the real baddie. I now during a very stressful season of 4 years of caregiving for my brother found myself needing to get back on the wagon, and I have been Ketoing and toying with idea of carnivore as I would like to see if it helps some medical/health issues I've had for years. I am down to 112, I'm 76 and in my clothes 😉👍. I basically look like I did in my 20's and 30's, not counting the fact that the collagen and elastin, ain't what they used to be. I'm so busy with the caregiving that I have little to no time for exercise tho I hope to resume my Total Gym once "this too shall pass"! Dr. Ken Berry is a Godsend and Dr. Berg also very informative, but Berry and his great guests are my educators. Thx for your inspiring story I know it will help many. Hi Denise, I started keto back in August 2019. I lost 45 lbs from August to October 2020. I slacked off of keto after about 3 months but did a sorto of lazy keto until 2021. I was able to keep my weight off until December 2021. I was walking a ton though as we had moved and were building our home while living in our rv, so we were walking our dogs about 5 times a day at a mile each! Since then, the weight has been creeping back on. In 2022 I gained back about 8 lbs and this year I’ve gained another 5, so far. I tried to get back on keto a month ago, and I just couldn’t stick to it. I feel miserable and have all sorts of stomach issues. I am going to get this book and see if I can stick to it. I know I felt the best I had in years when I was focusing on staying on the keto diet. Thank you for this video, I would love to hear more from you as you continue this journey. I was very curious to hear what you did for such a dramatic weight loss. Not only do you look amazing, you also look very healthy. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s a few years ago. I also am pre-diabetic and have issues with inflammation and joint pain. I lost 27 lbs on a metabolic reset diet. Paid a ton of money for the program but unfortunately gained it back due to some major life stressors and the fact that the diet was extremely strict (very low calorie). I also have chronic anxiety and insomnia. Basically, I’m a hot mess. I am very encouraged to hear that the keto diet can get me on a path to recovery. You have motivated me to give it a serious try. Thank you for taking the time to help others.

I know it's true. I started keto because I had diabetes symptoms, but it got rid of my fibromyalgia! As long as I stay in ketosis, I stay out of most pain. And my A1C went down 0.4 over three months from 5.9 to 5.5, the top level or normal. Also the diabetic exudate in my eyes decreased by what looks like about 50% in that same time period. I also lost about 15 pounds without trying. I LOVE keto. I wish I would have known about it in 2006 when I was forced to retire from the Navy for fibromyalgia. So glad to hear it is working for many other chronic issues!

This is so amazing!! Your story is my story. I too was diagnosed with Graves disease, and suffered for many years. I felt like I was dying and then took the radiation pill to burn out my thyroid which gave me Hashimotos, low thyroid. Then, more problems, the medications gave me horrible pains and made me sick. Even as a young person I too always had painful joints and muscles. I was so sick I had to quit my job and could barely function. Finally went to an intergrative doctor who prescribed a clean thyroid med (no fillers or binders,) and it saved my life. It has been a long painful journey. I really only need to lose 15 lbs. You have inspired me to try keto. I am hoping it will help with the body pains. You look fantastic!!
@gardengirl90997 ай бұрын
Hello. Would you mind telling me what your clean thyroid medicine is. I’ve been taking Synthroid and cytomel for close to 30 years because I only have half my thyroid. I don’t think the Synthroid is converting the T4 to T3 and I practically never feel good. So I’ve supplemented with thyroid support supplements and Lugals iodine and selenium. That seems to help a little. I’ve got my temperature up from 95° to almost 98. I want to try keto, but I’m totally confused how it works. So I guess I’ll go on KZbin and look up keto for beginners. I’m 73 and suffering with fibromyalgia pain and arthritis for over 30 years. Probably going to need a hip replacement soon. Maybe it has something to do with my thyroid too. My doctor is not helpful at all. 😢
@theresacrockett85597 ай бұрын
@@gardengirl9099 Hello, your situation sounds very similar to mine and I am 74 years old and never felt this good in my entire life! I take Tirosint SOL which has no fillers, additives or binders. It is a pure liquid levothyroxine (synthroid.) They are small ampules you break open and can put them in water or directly in your mouth. I also am prescribed a desiccated thyroid pig hormone for the T3. I am prescribed that through a compound pharmacist. Doing this along with Keto or low carb has improved my body pains dramatically. Mostly my diet consist of protein and a few veggie. You want to be careful of the oxalates in vegetables. (Check out Sally K. Norton) Her story is amazing. I attribute much of my pain to eating too many veggies. Since my youth I always had a garden and the oxalates were destroying my health. I always thought the more veggies you ate the healthier you would be. Not so. I know this is against everything we have been taught..but it is very true. For years I went to doctors hoping for an answer. There was none. It has been a very long painful journey, but through much trial and error, research and prayer I finally found relief. It has been 4 years now and I feel healthy, strong and ageless for the first time in my adult life!! I pray you will be encouraged by my story and you too will find relief and good health even in your older years as I did. It is never too late!

When you say Keto- what exactly do you mean? Is that 20gms of carbs or less? Are there specific carbs that are ok? Others not so much? Dairy? Cheese? Cream in coffee? Is coffee ok?
@godloveskaren Жыл бұрын
@@vikinorman317 yes coffee is OK
@heywigsister Жыл бұрын
@@vikinorman317 It seems as though there are many different definitions of Keto which is why I recommended getting the two books that helped me and that I followed. Coffee is fine, and I actually drink coffee with heavy cream each morning. Dr. Boz recommends 20 grams of carbs or less, but honestly, what works for one person may not work for another. I would start with what she recommends and then start to add things back in until you find where you feel the best. That may be at less than 20 carbs, or you may be able to eat 40 carbs.

YES!!! I knew you had, was so obvious. I started keto, then ketovore and now am mostly carnivore. Glowing health is a prep for the future. All of life begins with health. It's wonderful to be hypothyroid yet not have to worry about weight gain. This is a lifestyle, not a weight loss diet, as you know and people should understand. I've talked about this for years on my homesteading channel but I'm not sure people really listened early on. I tried to tell my sister in law about this, but she decided to ask her doctor for Ozempic just to lose weight....and the idiot gave it to her! I don't take drugs, either, except Synthroid same as you, and I'm a bit older than you as you know, turning 67 next month. How many my age take no drugs, seriously? How many women my age can lift 50# feed bags? Eating this way is HEALING. When our bodies are truly healed and healthy, weight regulation will come naturally. You have been looking amazing and I know I've told you that a few times already. By the way I never counted ketones, either, and calories on carnivore don't matter (actually calories in, calories out is a myth). People won't even eliminate seed oils, starches and sugars so they think they can't do this way of eating. They can and it's NOT more expensive because of the other foods you are *not* eating/buying. And you are not hungry. Eating this way is the proper human diet for our species. We should talk again soon, miss you! ~Cynthia

Hi! Oh my gosh, I was just thinking about you last night and wondering how you are! I meant to go search out your channel today as your videos never come up in my feed anymore. You are spot on! People always say they can't afford to eat this way, yet I guarantee they would spend less because you end up eating way less because the hunger and cravings are gone. We end up eating way more than we need because of those darn cravings. As for prepping, I really took to heart what you said in a video last year about getting healthy and losing weight for everything that is to come. 100% correct. I would bet that you are in the top 1% of people your age who are as healthy as you, able to do physical homestead work, and not be on prescriptions. That is my goal! If I could get off synthroid I totally would! I will call you this week! Thank you so much for taking time to comment, I miss you, too!

Dr. Ken Barry and his wife Tisha have a channel talking about the benefits of the carnivore diet and how to do it properly. It’s a lifestyle for people with autoimmune disease. They can’t tolerate the terrible foods with these days very helpful. The hardest part is getting rid of the sugars. They are very addictive. I have had auto immune since high school and RA more recently. Doctors don't seem to care if your hair falls out. When my friends feel sorry for me with leg pain and thin hair I tell them, it's ok, I am old. I wasn't burdened with these difficult symptoms until menopause. It wears you down but now I am fighting back. Shame on you for not mentioning RA in the title. We need this info. You look amazing, younger. Fantastic video! Speaking of cancer…it was my Oncologist who recommended I go Keto….it WORKS and my osteoarthritis and diverticulitis has improved TREMENDOUSLY from Keto. I lost a little too quickly at 4 lbs per week and suffered hair loss…a good deal of hair loss..BUT…my vital measurements (blood and cholesterol wise) are PERFECT! Most of my hair has come back over past two years…but it was a small price to pay for the incredible health benefits. ** it was explained to me by my Oncologist that the hairloss is due to rapid weight loss and your body goes into “starvation mode” as a safety net and focus’s on critical processes (hair growth is not critical to survival).once I stabilized my weight growth retuned 😎 Best mist sensible food advice I ever got!

I'm THRILLED to hear that you have a doctor who understands the benefits of diet on health! So many do not. Dr. Boz talked extensively about how this helps fight cancer in her book Any Way You Can. I told my husband that if anyone in our family gets diagnosed with cancer, strict Keto will be implemented immediately (Dr. Boz says that it has to be MUCH more strict than the average person would do daily and should be supervised by a dr because of it). As for your hair loss... I have been asked A LOT about whether Keto causes hair loss, and because I've already lost 80% of my hair and I buzz it now, I can't speak from experience on that, but I've heard mixed feedback. That makes total sense about starvation mode, so the key would be to manage the amount of weight loss and try not to lose it so quickly. Of course, we are all so different so that is easier said than done. I lost SUPER quickly as well, but I've heard from women who said they are following the diet perfectly and not losing anything. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Denise, thanks for sharing not only your journey, but your struggle. I lost 76 pounds also, but on WW - joined in 2011, reached my WW goal about a year and a half later, then went below my goal to allow myself a "cushion". But, when 2013 began, I realized my heart was racing, my hands were shaking, if I bent down to get something off the floor, or the bottom shelf in a supermarket, I didn't have the strength to stand up. Then, I realized I was losing weight, even though I made a conscious effort to eat way more points than I was allotted - and no matter how much I ate, the next day the scale was lower. I thought for sure I had cancer. Ultimately, I was diagnosed with Graves Disease and Hyperthyroid. I was on a medication that gave me horrific side effects (that were NOT listed on the paperwork about the drug), but the doctor at the time (who never saw my side effects in any other patient) told me the meds I was on was the "lesser of two evils" of the two that were available (at least then, that she knew of) and that sooner or later, my "body would adjust". Ultimately, I told her I was going to ween myself off, I could not live with the side effects. She told me people don't come off thyroid meds. I told her I knew the symptoms I had that brought me to her in the first place and if I felt racy, weak, shaky, I'd be back. (It's concluded that my hormones went in an uproar because at 52, I stopped the birth control pill cold turkey, probably in mid-menopause and my thyroid took the hit. I have since learned that I should've remained on the Pill until much later, and I'd have gone through menopause on the Pill). But, because my body was now getting used to being off the Pill, as I was coming off the thyroid meds, I felt fine and all my side effects went away as did all my symptoms of Graves! Fast forward to maybe 2015, which was when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's; however, my thyroid still functions normally, my T3, T4, TSH perfectly normal, but I grow nodules on my thyroid that I get biopsied annually - so far, so good. I'm currently not on any meds because my thyroid still functions as it should. I see my endo every six months to keep a check. So, girlfriend, you have a "wig sista" who, like you, had experienced both sides of the fence. (There are levels in my blood work that, every six months when they take it, rise each time, and it could ultimately mean thyroid cancer, but my doctor isn't as worried about the numbers as long as my thyroid functions normally and I get a sonogram annually with biopsy if something new pops up.) I am sorry to go on and on, it's just nice to know I'm not alone! As for your weight loss, congratulations, that's awesome. While I'd love to try KETO, I cannot as I'm vegeterian (flip flopping vegan) for over 25 years. I actually followed Atkins probably 35 years ago, before it was "chic" to give up carbs! LOL! It temporarily worked for me, but as a dog mom of 9 over the years, vegetarianism is just the route I choose to go. I lost all my weight being vegetarian, occasionally going vegan. I eat whole foods, no processed food and pretty much no sweets (which I basically lost my taste for.) I have though, gained about 20 pounds back in a short time in 2021 which I, for the life of me, cannot get off. Ultimately, my metabolic tests show that based on my caloric intake, if I ultimately eat around 1,000 calories a day, I'll lose weight,. Some days I do, some days I don't, it's not fun being that restrictive. This past June, I even did my own experiments to try and lose weight. (I used to be a social drinker, Friday and Saturday, but during Covid when the world shut down, I drank more.) So, for an entire month, I gave up booze, figuring that's a lot of empty calories I wouldn't be consuming. Scale didn't budge. I walked six miles a day, no change in weight. I did intermittent fasting for a month during the summer; no change. I'm thinking my body, while not my thinnest, certainly not my heaviest, is happy where it is and I'm coming around to accepting that. With the exception of the two things that are elevated in my blood work that are thyroid related, all other blood tests are picture perfect. On paper, I'm healthier than most, so I'm coming to a place of acceptance. If one day my body starts letting go of the weight, great; if not, as long as blood work continues to show me I'm healthy, that speaks volumes. (I've commented to you on IG, I'm dogmom_only). Anyway, I just felt like we're kindred spirits. Thanks for listening. I wish you continued success in your weight loss, but more importantly, the very best of health. I'm happy you found something that is sustainable. (I still eat the way I did losing the weight, but something inside is just handling it differently.) Anyway, buying wigs just about every week (even though I also still spend a small fortune at the salon because I do have hair) makes me happy and while my face not be as thin as it used to be, I feel gorgina in my wigs, and looking cute keeps me feeling confident and not someone who is just defined by what she weighs. You take good care and I'll continue to see you on social media.

I needed to watch this. I have fibromyalgia and several years ago I did keto. The change was amazing. Yes I lost weight but most amazing was the health change. Unfortunately I struggled with it and fell off.😢 A while later I went to the doctor and they did blood work that showed I have a wheat and dairy sensitivity. Hence the reason why keto helps I guess. In the last nearly two years I have gone back to work. I had to take several off due to fibromyalgia. I'm struggling. I think this video was my sign of what I need to do to take my life back. My feet are so swollen I can pretty much only wear Birkenstock and Crocs. I'm always trying to recover and feel to awful to do much. So starting tonight I am going to figure out what I need to do to prepare and on Tuesday or Wednesday I am going back to keto. I need the two days to clean out my kitchen and go shopping. Thanks for the kick in the butt 😊

Congratulations on your weightloss and your journey to better health, Denise! You look amazing and I always thought you looked beautiful when I was watching your wig reviews a few years ago before I started wearing wigs! The most important thing is that you are feeling better, that is wonderful! I have done keto in the past and had a lot of success. I've been trying to refocus again for health reasons too. Thank you for the inpsiration and motivation! xoxo Beth 💗💗💗

Tomatoes are a nightshade(anyone with hashi's should avoid nightshades-see AIP-Autoimmune protoclol. They are also very high in lectins which equals inflammation. You may be able to enjoy them on a rotation or special occasions.

Very timely information for a person who's bloodwork shows autoimmune. Was thinking about going back on keto after losing 27 lbs 5 years ago but gained it all back plus more and feeling horrible. Thank you for sharing Denise.

Denise, what an inspiration you are! I just started KETO. What great timing! I’ve been following you and love your presentations. Are you going to have a specific KEtO group? I’m all in!!❤

Denise, I am so happy for you! You've done the hard work and look at the results! You are such a beautiful person, inside and out. I have been asking God for help with my weight. I have gained 35 lbs, I'm the same weight as you but I am a few inches shorter. And I don't believe in chance or coincidence. I was praying while out walking my dogs and feeling a LOT of pain in my feet and I asked Jesus for healing. Well, sometimes the miracle of healing requires a good deal of work on my side, lol! I guess I am going to look at Keto. I really wish I could eat the easy way, buy packaged food, etc., but that ALWAYS comes around to bite me in the end, pun intended. Thank you so much, Denise, for sharing your story on this.

Congrats on your amazing achievement. Denise! ❤ As someone who was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes a couple of years ago, I can vouch for low carb eating and low stress light exercise. It has kept me from needing insulin. Not to mention, you can still eat well. There are many amazing keto recipes, some right here on KZbin.

I agree!! It really doesn't feel all that restrictive once you get through the carb cravings in the beginning!

Well done for such an honest take on your keto journey. It’s been great for me and share your “difficult to stay in true ketosis”, but I’ve lost weight and feel 100% better for it. Carbs and ultra processed foods are killing a whole generation. Thanks again for your post 👍

Thank you so much for sharing! Congratulations! I’ve done keto and lost 40 pounds but I’ve started eating too many carbs and gained about 15 pounds. I don’t feel as great either. I’ve been wanted to message you and ask how you stay on track. Thank you so much for making this video. I will check out Keto Continuum. Please keep making videos about keto.

Thank you, Denise. I started Keto when diagnosed with T2D. It was the easiest diet to stick to and made a real difference. I fell off and it’s now time to get back to it. Thanks for sharing and do share more when you can! thank you!

Thank You !! Denise, this message is a God send! I just recently got diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease. I’ve been living with pain for a number of years and this year the worse pain ever. I’ve been under a lot of stress this year taking care of my mother and being the primary care giver has exacerbated my condition even more. I’m going to give Keto a try! I’m like you, I don’t want drugs. The only thing I take is what was prescribed to me, Levothyroxine. I heard you say that you take Synthroid. Is that working for you? Thanks again for the wealth of information and the heart of compassion and sympathy you give it with. God bless you sister.

Yes, it seems to be. My doc wasn't a fan of the generic (which is Levothyroxine) because he said that you never know which companies version you will get (I guess multiple companies often make the generic form of drugs) and since our bodies are SOOOOO sensitive to thyroid hormones he believed this would give us better control. When I switched from my Endo to Paloma Health (telemedicine) when we moved I just had them continue to prescribe the name brand through an online company called Synthroid Direct. My insurance didn't want to cover the name brand anyway. Sending you hugs and lots of prayers! If you ever want to look into Paloma feel free to email me with questions, I have been using them for 2 years now and LOVE not having to find a doctor that will listen to me heywigsister@gmail.com

After taking synthroid (Levothyroxine) for 20 years, it was found that my body is not able to convert the synthetics. I have been on armour thyroid (natural) for about 2 years and feel much better. If you are on synthetic hormone and still not feeling well, ask your dr about prescribing armour.
@beingbenign2685 Жыл бұрын
I take over the counter desiccated raw thyroid, this way I’m not dependent upon doc prescriptions. I think it’s better.

Thank you, thank you! I started Keto about 2 weeks ago, because all of a sudden, my blood glucose was alarmingly high, even fasting. Yesterday, I was so hungry, I went off and today, it's high again. I need the notebook, to give me structure and knowledge. And I need encouragement to know this will work if I stick to it. I have about 60 pounds to lose, I have rampant inflammation and I just feel bad all of the time. I'm tired of feeling this way. Thank you for your video ❤ I feel it was a message from God that I can make this change!
