Join me as I explore the differences between two popular Denman brushes - the D3 with its 7 rows of bristles and the D4 boasting 9 rows. I've put these brushes to the test in a unique experiment: using the D3 on the left side of my hair and the D4 on the right. Watch to see how each brush performs in terms of styling, detangling, and overall hair management.
👈 D3 Brush - The Classic Choice:
The Denman D3, known for its 7 rows of nylon pins, is a classic choice for those looking to define curls and manage medium-length hair. In this video, I took out 3 rows of bristles on the D3 to see if it works differently on the left side of my hair, cause you know, I am a rebel! We will be focusing on its ability to smooth, shape, and polish.
👉 D4 Brush - For Extra Coverage:
On the right side, I put the Denman D4 to the test. Yes, I know, with its 9 rows of bristles, this brush is designed for those with thicker, longer hair. Sigh...it used to be me. I Digress!

I need to put the three rows of bristles back into the D3 and try again. Lol! I really appreciate your constant support. I think it’s time consuming and not enough difference to justify all that time. But my daughter, with waves, loves those ribbons! Ordered the D4 for her thick, long waves.

FYI in the curly girl world, Scrunch Our The Crunch (SOTC) is the term widely used for what you're calling de-crunchify. I guess you may know that and prefer to use your own term, but in case you were unaware, I thought I'd post this. I can't see a whole lot of difference between the 2 sides/brushes, but you may be able to see a difference yourself close up.

i love your channel and i even bought the bellissima diffuser based on your recommendation! do you have any advice for a curly girl whose inner layer of hair is pratically straight? nothing i seem to do can get it to hold a curl, the hair straightens out as soon as its dry!

I love your hair, but I don’t have your patience. personally, I don’t see a difference between the D3 or the D4. I would rather just use the diffuser that I purchased. Also, I love your shirt-it looks great on you

If you hold the root of the curl and shake it a little bit, sometimes that will curl up
