As you can tell the TreLuxe products gave me amazing definition and shine! Just as a heads up this technique using a denman brush most likely won’t work if you have strictly 2a-2c strictly wavy/loose wavy hair. I do have a loose curl pattern or some 3a curls forming. This just aids in helping train those curls through transitioning after heat or bleach damage (that I am still trying to grow out and later cut off) As always, what works for me may not work for others. I’m just here to share what gives me good results. Also, let me know what you would like to see next or let me know what you would like to know about me for a “Get to Know Me” vid.

It actually works I have 2A wavy hair and twisting method works to add waves to my hair. It won't add coils as my hair is not actually curly and it gets straight after one day but it has a slightly wavy shape which works for me :)

It seems like a huge part of your results are based on your cut more than just your process. Since you are a stylist, would you be willing to do a video that discusses your cut? There are not a lot of haircut videos for 2c/3a hair.

What an amazing transition of your curls with your wet to dry routine! I purchased my first Denman brush a few months ago and I am still practicing. I just turned 70 and I looked like a Victorian school girl with banana curls after using. Not the look I was going for. LOL! I am thinking I need to get a better haircut. I have not had any layers cut in it for almost 2 years and while it’s pretty....I am thinking layers might free up some more curl. It’s SO hard to find someone who really knows and understands my curly hair since every single one of us has a different pattern/texture/density etc! I have a new stylist (who also has curly hair herself) and she just did a trim for the first time she cut my hair....and I am due to go back for something more “substantial”. Would love to hear your thoughts about layers and curly hair! I enjoyed your video, well done! Thanks!

I love this because my curls are really uneven. Spring curls underneath and then it gets gradually loose curls on top. Top back layers are just lazy and frizzy waves. It’s really frustrating. I’m definitely going to try this because since I cut my hair short, I’ve been struggling to find the right style to wear so I won’t have to damage it by straightening every day. Thank you!!!

Thank you, for making this video! Unrelated note, AND you've probably heard this at least once before: at first glance you look a whole lot like Julia Garner! Hell of a compelling talent, she is! Her acting is outstanding. It DOES do a lot too, that she is gorgeous and sensual AND very sharp (smart) and subtle with ALL her gifts (ie not arrogant, or assuming). Which all makes her more likeable. So, even though, we do not know you and there'll be no way to get to know you, cannot tell who and how you are on the inside. But, let's just say, you've already got A LOT going for you and we DO hope you use all of these "gifts" constructively AND in a positive way. That is, to use your "presence" and "influence" to bring light and understanding and selfless compassion, to others who look to you. I say this because, with even just a little attention, it can get so, so easy for The Ego to be lured into its unlikeable side - arrogance, self-obsession, intolerance and condescension of others. Let's hope this is NOT the dominant energy surrounding the path Your soul takes! At the same time, I will also say for the sake of reminding, please DO NOT allow anyone communicating with you here, to deflate your spirit, or undermine your best intentions. Stay centred on the light within you (in so doing, you coukd never go wrong AND doing this just makes a person more versatile and "sensitive" / "intelligent"!). And remember to NOT forget how blessed you are, to now have a platform through which to positively (or negatively) impact the thoughts, decisions, actions of others. Be reminded and stay aware that there will ALWAYS be detractors and naysayers, just for the sake of recycling toxicity (but that is their karma (crisis) to dissolve, NOT yours. And even if directed at you, you SHOULD NOT take it to heart, because it is neither their place, nor their right, to cast aspersions on you!). Keep your head up, serve the light inside you and humble yourself enough to that light that you fulfil your purpose to. At the same time, DO NOT humble yourself to anyone's twisted ego, or corrupt purpose, within him / herself. Ler that person work out all that with his / her creator. NOT try to vent any of that, on you. On top of all that good stuff, you've got celebrity looks! Good for you! Keep going! Wishing you a successful 2022!

You do a good job demonstrating this Denman brush technique. I have thick 3C curls. I removed rows on my brush to leave four. My technique is like yours, except I use a light coat of an oil before my styling product. After "training" curls with the Denman, I scrunch using a tea towel, then air dry. I also wrap soaking hair in a tea towel for a few minutes before applyin oil. I feel that using the brush helps to define my curls. They look more styled. I will check out your other videos.

What kind of difference does it do to remove the rows? I have a denman brush but have never experimented with that yet.
@mysterylovescompany26575 жыл бұрын
@@nomiwellhouse the fewer the rows, the larger the clumps that form. More rows works for the looser curl type, but will only break up tighter curls, so removing rows helps the brush to be suitable for using on that sort of hair. :-)

@KristynJoanne5 жыл бұрын
This is typically meant for someone who naturally has curl or wave to their hair. Which is why pinning isn’t needed. This type of styling helped me when I was still transitioning from color damage.

I went years (at least 15 years) without brushing or combing my curls beyond just my fingers. My hair stylist introduced me to the denman brush about a year ago & it changed my life. I just got a hair cut today at a normal salon and it turned out great. I have waves from 2a on top, to 3a underneath. I got my hair cut an inch below my shoulder and a lot of short layers for volume. When I got home, I wetted my hair, put some gel in, and then scrunched. But if you're looking for volume, you MUST diffuse. I diffused for the first time and I had SO much volume. I diffused from when my hair was really damp to when my hair was 90% dry. I hope this helps

@KristynJoanne4 жыл бұрын
It could potentially! But probably use it in a different way. You could try it this way but would have to take smaller sections. The other way you could use it is simply brushing the section with the brush and flicking your wrist downward slowly. Ive done this on a 4b client and got awesome definition. Making sure each section is plenty went and with product. This will help define more while the product will moisturize, define, and hold. I hope that makes sense.

Danielle Bauer I have fairly thin hair, similar to hers, so I’m definitely not en expert on thick hair, but my advice would be to make sure your hair is thoroughly detangled before going in with the denman brush and to use a product meant for detangling that gives you a lot of slip to make it easier to slide through the hair. I’ve also found that the wetter the hair is, the easier it is to get a brush or comb through it

It would, if your hair is curly and/or wavy. However, I do mine with much bigger sections, even then its a lot more sections because of so much hair. With my very thick heavy long hair, little sections like she does would give me little thin curls that frizz easily and it would take forever to do. It looks great on her however and I really love her haircut, it’s perfect!

I have a more finer texture but I have a lot of it. I have quite a bit of layers. If you have a lower density of hair then I would get to many layers because you don’t want your perimeter (bottom of your hair) to look too sparse. Hope this makes sense and helps a little.

I utilize quite a mixer of things and they change from wash day to wash day. I usually share what I use on just about every wash day on my insta @ krissy2295
