Right in time for me :D Moving from Belgium to Denmark soon. Belgium has even higher (the highest in the world actually) income tax than denmark.. and lower salaries. This is offset by negligible investment taxes (no capital gains, dividends 0% below 980eur/y and 30% above that) But that's useless if you're a fresh graduate with little savings and only beneficial to those already wealthy. denmarks system makes more sense to me. Lower (still high) income tax, offset by higher investment taxes

Do people feel that trying to earn more income is not worth the effort because taxes take so much?

Up to a point yes

5:07 slip up with numbers for 50 kr - 50,000. I think those taxes on flyights are a joke and won't change people's habits. Besides, the Governemnt has a conflict of interest with their big share in SAS which has a base in CPH Airtport. If they didn't pull out SAS and didn't do the shares stunt last year, they would have went under with big money on expanding the airport and previous investments. Probably falling victims for the sunk cost fallacy?

It will be funny to see what happens when planes switch to SAF and you have to still pay this tax because it is not really aimed at lowering emissions.

They need to decrease taxes by 30% at least for anyone making under 1.5 million per year!
@MarioScianHQ10 ай бұрын
Never going to happen 😉
@High1QWealth10 ай бұрын
@@MarioScianHQ Yeah I am just worried about increases well in particular for those who make what most would say is a lot like you know 1.5 million is a lot but I would not say it is someone who is an aristocrat :) Regardless I do believe to increase social mobility upwardly it would be a very good thing to decrease or even remove taxes through a higher non taxable threshold of maybe idk the first 250,000 being tax free. I also think having capital gains should be either severely lowered or completely reduced or my last option would be to have it then reduced or removed based on the p/l threshold of an individual/family. So if you profit 200,000 it is tax free or at least make it tax free after a 2 year holding period or something. Just some ideas not sure if you think they are good but I notice how much the aktiesparekonto is pushed in Denmark which I think is a quite decent thing for some but I still find it as something with serious flaws like it seems for the ASK you are taxed on non realized gains. I just feel as if the ASK literally promotes you to trade and make a profit on it actively instead of building up a strong Aktiedepot on nordnet for example that can qualify for a portfolio loan for example where you can access cheap capital on a solid and growing portfolio without having to become a trader and sell off stocks. Yeah so again I find it really disheartening how long term investing is not really promoted or rewarded as many countries in Europe even though they do have capital gains although low, also just have either no capital gains for long holding periods or at least offer very small tax. I find Belgium fascinating as well as it has no capital gains as long as you are not a professional investor which to be a professional would mean a portfolio of over 2 million euros from my research. Anyways maybe in your next video you can touch up on some more in depth subjects I have mentioned here or related to them I think it would bring great value and I am even considering doing so myself as it is likely not something you are interested in.
