Hi Mario, how true is it that the 17% tax on aktiesparkonto is only when the money is the aktiesparkonto account. The moment we withdraw this money say after 10 years, the 27-42% tax is applicable on the money withdrawn.. Sounds crazy but this is what I ended up knowing😅 I hope I'm wrong😀 Because if it works the way I read about it, I don't see any advantage of an aktiesparkonto😅

you didn't point out how expensive it's in switzerland to have children. I lived for a while in 2023 in switzerland and the treatment against foreigners isn't so nice even if you're german, they show you that you're a foreigner not everbody but ocassionally it's happening. I will now move on sunday to Copenhagen and i'm more than glad about it even i don't speak the language yet. I don't think i face this kind of racism there. My advantage in switzerland was for sure to speak german as mother tonuge.

It is a fair evaluation of the UK, I think. Although the UK has been so undermined since Brexit, it is still a nice place to be (especially if you own a property). However, the worsening healthcare system and "uncertainty" (as you said) are indeed bottlenecks.

Norway has much higher taxes in reality than you mentioned. Tax on financial income is also calculated as follows: To calculate tax on shares, we multiply the gain or dividend by 1.72. This is a calculation we do automatically in the tax return so that the tax on shares is 37.84% So not 22% as you said.
@Audunforgard10 күн бұрын
I count that effective tax is more like 80%+ (tax on roads, tax on fuels, tax, inheritance, property, VAT, its as long list on this on that... New taxes are imposed with impunity with no real need in the government sector, they just want our cash or else... There is a reason our billionaires are fleeing the country, very sad . In reality the average worker works for free oh out to september before one actually hits payday... I wonder how we would fare with the kind of finacial independence were the numbers in this video on par with reality. Still a great country, governemnt notwithstanding, nothing unique in that...

@Audunforgard That is true, but I specially mentioned tax on financial investments because the numbers in the video was wrong. It is also a reason far right with lower taxes are popular today

@@MarioScianHQ No worries, the tax system is weird. It all depends on how you calculated and how many taxes you include to calculate the final taxation of the citizens. Income tax is "low" but what does that help when you must pay 25% VAT, property tax, car tax , fuel tax, electricity tax and so on... To calculate the real tax values I find it most representative to say that a guy earns $100 000. And that the real tax values is the combined taxes for the guy to earn his money, and then spend it on regular things as mentioned. How much money can you actually earn and spend that is not going to the government in taxes? Norway has a lot of taxes if you calculate this way.

While Norway is certainly a good place to build a comfortable, middle-class life, I would not recommend it if the goal is to achieve financial independence (i.e. not needing to hold a regular job in order to make ends meet). The tax system does not encourage the accumulation of wealth, mainly due to the high taxation of profits from stock market investments at approximately 38 percent, and the 1 percent wealth tax which starts at a very low NOK 1700k (about EUR 150k).

There`s no such ting as "paid vacation" in Norway. And I`m quite frankly tired of hearing this myth. Every month 12% of our salary is taken to the side for our holiday pay. What happens is that the usual salary gets withhold when the holiday pay is payed out, then you get the usual salary a month later, while on vacation.

I agree entirely, also with your comment regarding Denmark. Although we will end up there because of family, it’s not the most economical place to live if you are working. Not so bad if you are retired, however.

I wouldn't see our taxing as a con, since it goes towards good causes like our free healthcare, and mental healthcare till 25 (free dentist 21-22) Plus it's good for the equality of our country, because it mostly goes after the super duper rich people that owns companies worth over a billion (and we have a safety net for small companies to make sure there's not much of a monopoly)

With Danes you have to be the man and the woman in the relationship, you don't know if it's lack of manners, lack of courage, lack of common courtesy, laziness or all these together. Danish men don't do a thing, they expect all on women. They want you to be an open book but they don't reveal much about themselves. They play it very safe for themselves and don't give a damn about you, with them you're on your own basically. These men expect for women to carry the relationship entirely. They're very draining, and can suck the life out of you quickly. I dated briefly a Dane and will never repeat experience again. We didn't get to sex but it looked like I would have had to do everything there either. Never again. Jeez ...

Hi! I'm Asian and have been talking to a Danish guy for a year now - not everyday though. He seems nice and funny but sometimes I get confused. Is it normal that they don't talk to you unless you talk first? Like if they are online, it's very rare he says Hi first unless I do so then he replies back. At one point, he did tell me he likes me but some of his actions are making me think otherwise. I'm unsure if I should still continue talking to him because I don't really want to look so aggressive or needy or whatever that I feel like I'm the one who needs to initiate conversations first. Any help? Thanks! Haha (I really like the guy 🥰)
