True. He used to hang out at Gordon Miller music in Towson Maryland back way way back and I'd catch him in there and just talk drums and drummers for hours. Nicest guy ever!!! Of course hearing and watching him play in person is just an unbelievable experience. When gets warmed up there is no more powerful exquisite musician you will ever see. A prodigy like no other. But to me pearl Master custom drums had a resonance that I never heard or felt with any other drums and I've played or owned them all. The pearls just made me sound way better than I should have. Probably just a personal thing to my own ear but I love those drums.

As if nothing happend between the 90ies and today, no transplant, no getting older. Very rare that somebody does not loose just a little bit quality & soul over all those years. Wow ! I am blown away ! Just another time by this genius on drums. This solo I haven't heard over decades maybe. Thanx Pearl for sharing and thanx Dennis for performing this one. Great drums, shame we didn't get to hear them more. Dennis's Signature Snare and bass drum yeah. I wanted to hear the awesome toms. A better advert for Zildjian than they do themselves. A shame.
