this movie was the first movie in history where Wayne Knight died brutally, the second movie was Punisher Warzone

In real life, the Dilophosaurus was much larger than that small Dilophosaurus seen in this scene from the movie (although it is believed that this specimen was not an adult), but it did not emit poison, in the same way it would represent a brutal death for a human, Nedry would only have 1 minute in front of the dinosaur until he finished analyzing it and seeing it as a possible prey or also a threat that he must eliminate from his territory. The animal lived 185 million years ago in what is now North America.

Nedry's death in the book was far more gruesome

For those upset about the Dilophosaurus, yes its inaccurate. But you have to remember these dinosaurs are genetically altered with DNA from modern species. So theyre not going to be 100% accurate. Also InGen wanted them bigger and meaner to attract more customers to their theme park and satisfy their investors. This was explained further in later movies.

It goes without saying, This Is Not What Dilophosaurus Looked Like! To this day, I don’t know why they did this, make it small, give it a stupid thrill lizard display & spit venom.
@thepowerfulwolfspirit.25812 ай бұрын
That stupid frill is there to make the Dilphosaurus look more menacing. Just like the velociraptors, in reality they’re the size of chickens but because its a movie about scary Dino’s they made them taller and scary.

As much as i love jurassic park, it made me believe some of the things that aren't accurate.
@mdalsted2 ай бұрын
Let's be honest, even the original novel didn't try for accuracy, because Crichton knew that no matter how accurate he wrote the dinosaurs at the time, there would come a discovery that rendered that depiction outdated. Remember, these dinosaurs were cloned by using the DNA of modern animals; that always meant there were going to be quirks in the dinosaurs' anatomy that weren't present back in the days when they were actually alive. Jurassic Park was never meant to be a documentary on dinosaurs; it's more like a modern take on Frankenstein. "Man tries to play God by bringing something dead back to life and suffers the consequences for it."
