Rodman is speaking about Kim as a human being he met and spent 2 days with. Not as the reputation he holds. Not as a grandson or a son. As a human being. Considering the fact that Rodman knows Kim better personally than any person in the United States, shouldn't we be listening to what he's saying, rather than interrupting and trying to put words in his mouth? Perhaps he's not very articulate here, but if we just listen we can filter through and gain some new insight.

The way Dennis Rodman talks, so scarely highly of Kim Jong, and always refuses to even comment on the subject of anything negative about Kim deeds makes me think Mr Kim infused the same fear into Rodman as he did his nation. Now, the normally out spoken Rodman, oddly talks just like any North Korean Kim follower about their leader! I'm sure somethings going on behind closed doors. Kim's smart inviting a iconic figure, who has no real power or protection, and sending him back fearful. spouting praises. Probably did something basic like, have an agent send him current pictures of his family in the US while he was visiting Korea.

Why do they hafto bring in politics when this was a meeting about basketball and other things. America does soooo much shit. If i would meet Obama on somthing else, should I just bring up all I hate about American politics, or leave that aside. I do not believe North Korea does all good and not even mostly good to it's people. but i totally believe Rodman is right on seeing the whole picture. Kim Jong Un is only 28, look at how he has been brought up. Not until you've walked in any man/womans shoes can you see the whole picture. That does not excuse behaviours or actions, but it explains them, perhaps. And by no mean should we believe in only one picture of the world coming from another country that might be very bias because of their own interests.
@starsix078 жыл бұрын
Yea I hate this interviewer. Not only is he implying that Kim Jong-Un cannot in any way be friendly or loving or in any way a decent person because of his political policies, he's also somehow implying that Dennis Rodman is just as guilty because he didn't bash Kim Jong-Un the entire time he was there when all Rodman wanted to do was chill and talk basketball! God this whole political system needs to chill the fuck out.

Im just going to tel lyou the same thing mr. ignorant. Here are something i want you to know about north korea. 1.Their citizens have little to no freedom AT FUCKIGN ALL. They get told what to do what to think and how to live, im not even talking about freedom of speech and human rights im fucking talking about the freedom of going outside and playing (fore example) basketball etc, watching tv, believing in religion. They cant even watch pornos legally. 2. They have zero to none information about the outside world. For them our world doesnt exist. They live in a caged small piece of land where they starve to fucking death without being able to do anything at fucking all. They dont even know what fucking MCdonalds is nor do they know what the internet is or how to even begin comprehensing its existence. Cause if they try to run away and get cought they either get publicly executed or they get send to concentration camps and die anyways. And even if they manage to flee, but leave some of their relatives at home, they will then get punnished instead. 3. They live in a country where they are so far off from reality that you cant even begin to understand how life is for them or how they comprehend it. And if you look at their technology and what they consider as modern or new you will see that it looks like they live many decades behinde us. Hell, even some of the refugees admit that after they fled from north korea that it was like time travelling for them cause of all the new things/technology. North korea is not even arguibly, it is worse then nazi germany or the DDR ever was. Let me clarify something for you, kim jung un is one of the if not the most evil person in existence right now. He has killed so many fucking people its insane and is practicing the art of mass slaugthering and inhumane human punishments and brainwashing its beyond understandable how one man can be so inhuman. And even if he was nice to Rodman one to one, that doesnt mean Rodman has to accept kim jung un as a person and be friendly back towards him. Idc how nice kim jung un would have been to me, the moment i saw him my first intention would be to fucking shot a bullet threw his head even tho considering that i would probably die afterwards. And with Rodmans argument, he supports the act of befriending evil people. Just because someone is nice to you but bad towards other people doesnt mean you have to accept them as a friend. If i ever stumble upon someone that behaves nicely to me i would at first glance appreciate it and think highly of them, but the moment i see them behaving what i would consider as bad bevahior (bad enough that i react to it) i would start to question him why he does that etc. and after a talk if i recon that guy being a bad person my view of him will change drastically. Nevermind being a bad person, but kim jung un being one of the most inhumane beings on this planet, Ofc they wanna ask political question and bring politics up. Its embarrassing that Rodman even shaked that fat guys hand. Now let me finnish this with a question, would you go on a trip to watch basketball together with someone who has slaughtered your family and freinds and if the answer is no would you go do that with a guy who has slaughtered millions of people from another nation who also had family and freinds? And if the answer still is no why do you then think its so weird to bring up politics in a discussion between someone that whent on a trip to meet a dictator who has slaughtered millions of pople with family and freinds to watch some basketball with him? Ofc you wanna know whats going on behinde kim jun uns politics and you try to use every opportunity you can. Ive lost all respect to Rodman as a human being for even considering doing what he did and accepting kim jung un as a nice person and freind.
@starsix078 жыл бұрын
Yes I know I've heard all of this before. I just wish sometimes that we'd all be a little more forgiving and loving. If the world could all unite in their love of basketball we might all be a little happier.
@Drollgaming8 жыл бұрын
Trust me i feel the same, but try to say that to kim jung un. The problem is not wanting to forgive kim jung un the problem is him treating his people like trash. And im not gonna ignore that fact just because i wanna live in my dream land. The day Kim brings in even a small fraction of human rights in his country we can talk about uniting people.

Holy shit! Dennis was right. George is a great journalist but like most, he didn't give a black person credit for thinking for himself and being a visionary.

This fucking news guy reminds me of destiny. Just shoving down dumb irrelevant things to make the situation appear fucked up. I like this gangsta guy. Has good moral grounds based off what I see.

Wait, both Kim Jong-un and Obama like Basketball? Is anyone else hoping for a Political showdown on the basketball court between the two leaders :D
@eltonq11 жыл бұрын
The most shocking thing about this video is when Rodman said Kim wants Obama to call him. I love how that gets super downplayed. All these talking heads are pressing the man to form some sort of diplomatic bridge (seriously?) and he gives this guy diplomatic gold by telling him what Kim said with his own mouth including the bit about Kim Jun un not wanting a war.

It's so contradictory that the host believes north korea is a dictatorship while he himself is so self-righteous judging Rodman and trying to make him look guilty for just making a fucking visit there.

Can any of you finger pointers give this man some fucking credit? The odds of an American getting the chance to have that kind of relationship with a country that's potential threat to the world is legendary. We may never have a chance to get in talks with them without this. He's a basketball player not a politician and this reporter is pushing an agenda to make him look bad and he did something that we should learn from. Stop focusing on the bad or else it won't stop.
