After Kira lays her eggs and the hatch will you separate them to prevent more eggs. I can't separate my birbs and they are continuing to lay eggs I'm scared for the female. When I remove the nest she is just laying the eggs on the floor

BIASED KOOKIE if its pink he might be a young male you’ll never know. but if theyre fighting you should separate them for 4-5 days and see if that works, also is your cage big enough/do they have enough toys?

I have 3 budgies. 1 female and 2 male. And 1 male is trying to feed her, sometimes they will preen each other too. When I let them outside their cage for some short time, he will try to take a leg on her back. Today he have just totally stand on her body but haven't mated, both are around 1 year. Its rainy season here, theg haven't laid eggs before. So did they lay eggs soon

You shouldn’t keep several birds in the same cage if they are breeding unless they are all paired up and there is multiple nest boxes. Even then it isn’t recommended. Hens will get so driven by jealousy that they will throw out each other’s eggs, kill chicks that aren’t their own, and often kill each other. If you have multiple males they will both mate the hen. Hens will be overbred and the chicks will have multiple fathers, so you can’t keep those chicks to breed because you can’t be sure who their father is, meaning you could accidentally inbreed your birds.

Denny the Budgie even bonded birds can still fight when they become territorial over nest boxes. If multiple males are feeding her, that means that the hen may have mated all the males, therefore chicks having multiple fathers and accidental inbreeding may occur in the future

That means that either she is still too young or just not ready to mate/breed/be bonded to another bird yet.... OR she has simply REJECTED the male bird as an unsuitable mate for her. Only *SHE* gets to decide which male bird that she *WILL* completely accept as her lifelong mate...... so that means that sometimes you have to provide *several* male birds to her as options to choose her mate from (not all at once, of course!!) until she *DOES* decide which one of them to choose from that she *will* accept as her bonded mate. But sometimes it *DOES* take just switching out either the male or female bird only once with another one until the bird(s) decide and get to choose which one that *THEY* want as their mate. *YOU* don't get to make this decision for them..or try to *force* them...to just settle for, accept and mate with *whatever* opposite sex option bird that's provided to them and put in their space to share it with. Otherwise, if you *do* try to force them to just accept & settle for a bird that was put in their cage that *THEY* didn't get to choose for themselves to be the one they bond and mate with......... one or the other bird will only end up trying to *KILL* or *constantly injure* the rejected *only* potential mate option given to them....... and this typically ends up with the female bird being the most aggressive and dominant one towards the rejected male. Not only will she always try to injure/kill the rejected male bird that she was *forced* to share her space with (if she rejects the first male or two put in with her)....... but she will *ALSO* always try to destroy/kill every single egg and/or chick that results in their (forced) mating, too. Bc she was forced to settle for *that* (only??) male bird....... to satisfy her natural instinct to mate & breed- instead of her actually getting to *CHOOSE* her bonded mate for *herself*. However, you just simply can *NOT* force her to ever accept to brood, hatch & raise the eggs/babies that result from it.

Omg guys thanks I finaly learnt why my dad removed one of my female budgies and sold it they argued a lot on the Male I think a new way we could do it is bring another Male in I'm so embarrassed on why I let my buddies do this they nearly died especially the male he was always stressed a lot I think beacuse he could not decide which bird to breed he stared breeding the one we sold but before she layed eggs we sold her wr only found out now I regret it deeply but still it's ok beacuse the male and femail are breeding now so I hope it lays eggs soon and I hope the bird we sold is actually being breaded right now so she can lay eggs .

I have a problem with breeding my budgies :( Mine are a couple. I am hundred procent sure that they, are a female and a male. They really are a pair that feeds and cleans each other. They get fresh food, have a good cage with free flight time every day. I care for them in any way possible.
