Silly question: if you use 4 subwoofers instead of one, does this add 3 channels to the total of channels the receiver can process or is it still just one? If you were to use a full dolby atmos setup with 5 bedlayer and 4 oververhead speakers, can the 4800 still process 4 independant subwoofers or would you need to step up to a 6800 in that case?

Do you think it's worthwhile to replace a X4800 with this?

If you need extra channels of processing, yes. Feature set is the same aside from DTS:x pro support which the extra channels give you on the x6800. It will come down to the sound quality difference which I am assessing now if this other items don’t matter to you. There is a case where someone just wants more power, then there is some benefit, but not a lot compared to the x4800. From the x3800 it is more compelling power improvement. -Jon

SIR i am going with Denon A1H this is a right option or not ...? or this is future packed AVR

It is a safe option, but an expensive option at $6,500 USD. What speaker count and layout are you looking to support? Are your speakers efficient (8 ohm / 90db sensitivity) or hard to drive (4 ohm / 85db sensitivity)? -Jon

Sir, excellent work, love the detailed review, reminds me of an interesting college class. Please review class d power amps for home theater, like Buckeye, D-Sonic ,etc. We like your sonic feedback as you did with the RZ 50, Cinema 50 etc. Thanks . How do these class D amps actually sound?. Love your work sir.
