I really wish the chipset would have been upgraded for this considering a good amount of time has passed since the original prime 4 release. I was quite disappointed when the Denon DJ rep said it's exactly the same as the original prime 4. :/

Hey Denon! if using turntables alongside the prime 4+, do the effects apply to the sound coming through like on the x1850 Mixer?

No, the Main FX, Touch FX, and Sweep FX only apply to software decks, not external inputs (the Sweep FX knob functions as a Filter only with external sources)
