Hey man well done that's a tidy set up, and in terms of workability I totally get the setup-setdown feature! I own the same controller and have done something similar but no way as in depth as you have! Good work and it clear you have thought it out! Props from the U.K!

How is the denon mcx 8000 functioning today and wats your thoughts about the controller after using it for sometime? I’ve been debating between the ns7 3 and this controller for some time now. I definitely would appreciate your feedback.

I updated the firmware the day I purchased it and have never had a single issue. I love this controller. The stand-alone feature is a lifesaver. You can switch back and forth between PC and jump drive instantly or use both at the same time! You can be playing off the jump drive on decks 1&2 in stand-alone mode and use a laptop on decks 3&4.

Cool setup. You could've gone with the passive combiner. I've run parabolic mics in a broadcast situation at NFL stadiums without powered antennas. We're talking long range. From booth to field. I do have a question. How much heat is generated from all the gear. There doesn't seem to be any room for airflow. Just curious.

Hello, what kind of mic holder have you used? I mean that part of what is installed in the case, what you can just click out. I'm looking for a solution for my light notebook, I have the same case as you. Can you help me?
@turgayaksoy30324 жыл бұрын
Hey Joe, hope you are good. I think to buy this controller for its standalone ability. But I see some comments from the users that the screen often freezes and cue buttons might break down. So what do you think about it? I'd be happy to hear about your experience.

Getting ready to switch out from a rolling rackmount setup to this controller or the Roland 808 and I've been trying to get my mind around how I'm going to fit in all the things I want and then I came across this little Video :). I'm pretty excited that I don't have to re-invent the wheel, this is exactly what I intend to do. So 8 months later, did anything drastically change?

Need to see the updates to the case, moving the antennas, and anything else. Also, could use links to all the components. I have almost the same rig

How much would you say that rig weighs or did you mention that in the video?

BK Ray I'm really not sure. I've never tried to weigh it. It's heavy though... That's for sure.

Why do you use the Denon MCX controller?
@cwestentertainment80166 жыл бұрын
Any preference when it comes to Denon, Pioneer or Numark?
@JSEntertainmentCo6 жыл бұрын
The main reason I upgraded to the 8k controller is the built in stand-alone capability. The ability to play on with the flip of a switch in the event of a computer malfunction offers incredible peace of mind.

Watching this again I keep thinking you got to ditch Freestyler and go SoundSwitch with autoloops and static screens.

you don't need powered antennae outs to run paddle antenna unless those antennae are at the end of 100ft+ of RG8 cable (or more than 12ft RG58) .
@MrCalebgrayson6 жыл бұрын
and i don't think you need a second laptop for DMX. i use QLC+ and my 2017 MBP runs it and Serato together no problem. as a matter of fact, i went to Serato from my preferred Traktor to use SoundSwitch which is way more 'awesome' than and DMX controller could be.

@MrCalebgrayson6 жыл бұрын
The Funkloft - we’ll have to see how that gets implemented. the guys at SS are the most responsive and progressive of any software company i’ve delt with. CONSTANTLY adding new features. RBDMX software is a pretty good imitation and your only option and only for RB.
@MrCalebgrayson6 жыл бұрын
the lastest SoundSwitch release allows 32 static scene changes so it's almost as functional as the other DMX software controllers. in addition it has autoloops which are chases matched to the beat grid of analysed songs and then of course for the most popular or those special tracks you can go in an do a custom light script for every light on every beat. when you load a track the script loads and runs in the background automatically. i trigger it all from an iPad (static scenes and autoloops or useing the smoke machine or stobe, etc.). its looks liek its for club DJs but theres a lot of Moible use happening.

i want to believe the case is so heavy, I have one with the same controller, dbx equalizer, receiver for 2 mic, multi-outlets, and is already heavy.......
