Dental assisting is a great career for someone who would like to finish the course in a shorter time frame and still be able to work in the dental field, having a great pay rate. For dental assistants, at l3ast in California the rate goes more between $25- $35 hourly

That's a great point - some people would prefer to have shorter schooling and may wish to pursue dental assisting, or perhaps they'd like to start as an assistant and move to a hygienist while gaining experience in the field - both are great options!
