I am so excited to have found your videos. I graduated from Chattanooga State's DA program in 2009 & worked as an assistant for about a year (two counting externship & a hands-on job training position many years prior). Then, tragedy struck & my health forced me out of the workforce. Long story short, I had a massive infection from a botched breast reduction surgery that seriously almost killed me. I lost both breasts & almost lost my life. I was on dialysis for awhile and was later diagnosed with a incurable bladder disease. Here I am a decade later wanting to get back into the career field I loved. There's just something special about helping people find their smile! Of course I have forgotten alot & I'm extremely nervous about restarting my career. I'm very fortunate that my small town has a dentist who is willing to give me a chance! I start September 30th so I have a full month to brush up on my knowledge & understanding of the skills needed to do the job. Thank you for making these videos!!!

Hi Cheyenne! Just wanted to thank you because I believe you helped me get the job. I was told to come in for a working interview (I've never had a working interview) I was unsure what to expect. After watching your video, I went out and got myself a pair of scrubs, brought an extra resume. I think it helped me land the job, this is my first job in Dentistry and where I work they offer on the job training. I was hired after my working interview!!

Could you tell me what's a working interview? And does it helps to go to an interview in scrubs?

Great video. We hire a ton of assistants and these are all great tips. I would say the biggest thing we look for is attitude. If you have experience that is great but attitude is the most important. Great information though:)

Dentists may know what sweet teeth are but not really what they are used for so I am here as a good spiritual soul and healer to let them know. When you take sweet teeth out you can use them to remove a bad spirit nearby by putting them in their feet or liver. You can also use them to heal good souls that need some help put the sweet teeth removed in any sore or dark spot in their spirits.

This video is an older one but I have to share. It’s Sept. 2021. So, I went and graduated from a dental assistant program at my local community college in 2019.I landed a job immediately after school. I was not trained and learned everything on the job. I basically did everything there, front and back office. The office I work at has been there 50 years. The doctor is cool but I feel I’m not learning anything new being that he’s older and I’m very underpaid for all I do. I’m not having a good experience there. I decided it was time to go. I had a zoom interview but didn’t get a call back. Applied to more offices and got a call back. I already did the in person interview and passed. Now they want me to do a working interview. I am kinda nervous but willing to train me. Wish me luck. And good luck to all of you on your journeys. Btw, video was helpful 👍🏾😉

I think I totally screwed up my first interview. I didn't know what to expect. They told me to come in anytime to chat with them. I didn't think that means an interview. I didn't show up wearing a scrub and wasn't prepared as you described. I was just wearing casual clothes. Oh man, they were very confident before I went in to see them. I don't know if they will still call me. Thank you for making this video. I learned a lot and I should have watched this before I went in for that interview. Thank you again.

JAMILIA’S WORLD Turns out they were a bit unorganized. The day before the interview they called me and left me a voicemail saying they had to reschedule the interview because they had a meeting at the time of my interview. I only ever got to speak to someone one time because every time I called it would go to voicemail, and every time they called me I was at my current job. So we never rescheduled the interview, and I was the last one to leave the interview telling them a good time to call me back. How did your interview go??

What would be some some good tips and or advice for me going to a dental assistant interview with no experience? It’s for a pediatric dentistry and they said in the email they train you and get you certified and I also have 8 years of working with children. I just want to be able to stand out in the interview and be want they want to hire however I’m scared since I have no dental experience
