I work in a private dental office, I love it 🙂 we see alot of diversity in dental work. Extractions, fillings, root canals, implant surgery lots of things! We are actually quite busy alot of the time.

Corporate offices definitely are crazy fast paced. They take all insurances including state insurance and never refuse any patients unless they don't bring their physical government issued ID like a drivers license of course.

In my experience ... There’s more drama between staff in larger corporate offices (clinic) Because there’s less people in private owned offices- the bonds and communication is better. Also, there’s more wait time/complaining from patients in a clinic Private is usually good at keeping their patients app times and you create bonds with your patients because you see them often since there’s Minimal staff.

Hi Cheyenne, Thanks for this and the other videos. What do you suggest on getting a job in Dental Assisting? Do you think temporary agencies are good for the practice? I just saw the x-ray video and agree with everything that you said. It's mostly about experience. Keeping a job as a dental assistant requires what mostly in your mind? Do you suggest "shadowing" for new assistants? Thanks again!

Hi Cheyenne! thank you for sharing your experience, which is useful. I am new dental assisting, I don't know how to avoid to suck patient lip or mouth when I use HVE. Could you please teach us how to use HVE. thank you

Hey Cheyenne I have 2 offers and Im not sure which to choose both private except one is just me and the dentist the other is like 3-4 total idk which based off of the staff please help

I would go with the office that has 3-4 staff. Working by yourself and just the doctor you might get burnt out. With the group practice most likely all the staff help each other. So just think about what would happen if you had an emergency or needed to request a day off the dentist would be upset because you are his only employee.

Are DAs salaried or paid by the hour? Or does it depend on where you’re at?

I love you, Cheyenne. Your channel is awesome! Though you totally forgot to mention the difference in INFECTION CONTROL. I dont know about anyone else, but this matters to me greatly. I always search to work for ethical doctors who have great, current dental practice. You'd be surprised how many don't. Anyway, I will be making a reaction video to this vid. Subscribe to my channel to be the first to see it!
