Hello. How would you answer this question: A patient refused to be treated with x-rays or fluoride. What would you do?
@SmilesforYoo5 жыл бұрын
I will be sure to add this in the next interview questions video :)

Absolutely no xrays? Then nicely tell them to see themselves to the door. No xrays, no proper diagnosis. No proper diagnosis, no standard of care. No standard of care = lawsuit waiting to happen. Fluoride is optional but important to make them aware of the true facts.

We are obliged to explain to the patient the rationale why we generally include taking x-rays as part of the protocol to assess areas that we couldn’t see by the naked eye; and to increase reservoir of fluoride to reinforce more remineralization in teeth when applying fluoride. On the other hand, I would still give the power to the patient to decide whether or not they want to go ahead with the procedure knowing that they may be risking themselves from any potential dental problems that we might miss by not taking xrays or putting fluoride. I will then document this on my notes for legal purposes that you’ve followed the protocol of informing the patient about the risk and that the patient accepted the risk. As clinicians, that’s all we can do, we still need to respect patient’s opinion regardless of the outcome of their choice.

How would you answer these 2 questions. what will you bring to the class here? or what makes you stand out from other applicants?
@SmilesforYoo2 жыл бұрын
I always attempted to relate my answers towards what the school looks for. Whether that be community, humanism, or academic research.

Hi what's the average age of the candidates when they enter the DDS course?
@SmilesforYoo4 жыл бұрын
Hello! The average age for my class was 27 but the class underneath me had an average age of 24. You will see this general range in most schools.

@@SmilesforYoo Thanks. I am an international dentist, coincidentally I am interviewing with University of Colorado tomorrow (Jun 13th 2020) over a Zoom session. Thanks for a few tips in your last video. Could you share some more interview questions, if you read this comment sooner? Thanks again. Cheers

The Bible says that we are all guilty of breaking the Ten Commandments of God (Romans @). As a result, we all deserve to go to Hell because none is righteous, no not one. (Romans @). But the good news is that you do not have to go to Hell (John @). Jesus Christ loves you so much that He died on the Cross for your sins and if you Repent of your sins and Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior then you will be saved (John @). Jesus is calling on all to repent and you know longer have to live in despair but in love, joy, and peace through Jesus Christ. Amen.
