One of the best maintained 165s out there. The tune is "Berliner Luft = Berlin Air" from roll 6839 arranged by Rich Olsen.

Toreador March is on that roll too ain't it? I'd so love to hear that tune on a Wurlitzer 165, it is one of my favourite tunes out there. It's the National Anthem for my geese and their park. Now I wonder how many more Rich Olsen tunes have I to nick from Glenn Thomas's Wurlitzer 165? Other than that there are barely any other amusement parks that keep their band organs in as perfect of shape as this one is. Kennywood's is in rather rough condition, the Knoebels organs sound like they are choking(except the Bruder 107), Crescent Park's organ is mistracking a few notes here and there, Hershey's is currently TERRIBLY out of tune(but thankfully is in the same cosmetic and mechanical condition as Glen Echo's, in perfect shape), and other organs I cannot remember immediately that don't sound as perfect of condition as Glen Echo Park's. What would you consider the worst maintained 165 out there? How many 165's have you personally seen in total out of all 11? My favourite one is Gilson's one(from Nunley's, serial no. 3378). Poor old me I've seen none. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH

@@CBF1 Yes it is. And as of worst maintained 165 converted organs, the Crescent Park Ruth takes the biscuit there.

@@andrewlardieri4110 Indeed, it's mistracking quite a bit of notes. I wonder however, what is out of all of the ORIGINAL Wurlitzer 165's the worst maintained, or are they all in good shape? The Griffith Park 165 does need a bit of tuning and the Winstead 165(serial 3437) doesn't sound like it's playing in it's full instrumental capability, at least not in the only video uploaded of it... maybe Brian B turned some of the pipes off.

@@CBF1 Do you have any recording of the Winstead organ
@CBF12 жыл бұрын
@@andrewlardieri4110 No but his grandson uploaded a video of the Winstead W165 10 years ago or so. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZ-vqaCNmr19bK8 No one ever hears any present news about the Winstead collection. There are some private collections out there that never normally open for anyone to see and some of them include Wurlitzer 165's.
