Denuo Novo Rey Quarterstaff Review + Customer Service Story

Hey Collectors! The Denuo Novo Rey Quarterstaff has arrived! Once promised by Anovos, and now fulfilled by Denuo Novo, this piece replicates Rey's weapon of choice from the Force Awakens. This is my second version of this prop as the first one had some major issues. Luckily Denuo Novo took care of me and this one is much improved, even if it still has its fair share of flaws.

Nice review Jonathan! The staff looks pretty good even with the minor flaws but the best part of this video is how Denuo Novo is making things right for those who were burned by Anovos! The comparison of customer service is night and day!

As also great review Jon! I had a great interaction with Denvo customer service as well. They had lost my stormtrooper kit in the mail and had sent me a brand new one that arrived in less then a week! Glad you were able to recieve your package and not lose the funds!

Still would have loved for her to have had some sort of lightsaber staff, but I guess that leaves a pretty big weak point in the middle during a duel huh? 😅

Hello. I think the scan was carried out with the staff found on the Propstore site. A version for promotion. We find the same molding defects. I received mine. Indeed not without molding defects but the paint and its rusty patina effects are well done. The density of the combat foam is very dense and firm. The impression of another solid matter. The whole thing has a good weight. No curvature on my side. It remains a beautiful piece. But Denuo Novo could have been more serious in manufacturing and its follow-up...

Nice review and commentary, J. If they are going to weather the staff, shouldn't the strap also be weathered? It appears pretty clean in this video, but it's hard to tell.

That’s a good point I hadn’t considered Marcel! Maybe I’ll have to go with some paint and sandpaper and rough that up some. Got that artist eye for detail of course!

The first one I had was worse, and I was a little taken back by it. This one is better, so maybe I went a little easy on it, but I agree that it's disappointing. It'd be hard to clean up admittedly, but... paying for other people to do the labor is kind of the point of buying a product too.
