Actually, airports tend to go out of their way to have large art exhibits in their buildings and around the surrounding area. The airport in San Antonio, for example, has a large mural titled ¡Adelante San Antonio! that spans over 240 linear feet. DIA even has 21 white peaks to represent the Rockies placed right over it, but I guess that doesn't really fit into the style of apocalypse, does it?

Most sketch place in Colorado. At night while waiting for bags I wandered off to find a bathroom and noticed I was getting piercing stares from all the cleaning crew I walked by. I asked a janitor where the closest bathroom was and that's when I noticed the floor cleanong crew had tasers and batons so I got back to baggage check as fast as possible. I would hope that a kid couldn't just randomly stumble into wander off and find himself in a secret tunnel or Mason camp or whatever.

I worked with a woman who's husband did government work at the Denver airport back in the early 1990s. He would tell her some wild stories about what's under the airport. She told me the strangest thing he saw was getting lost and walking down a huge hallway with huge doors. Going in one door it ended up being a giant restroom, but like for giants. He told her the rows of toilets the seat was over 6 feet tall. They looked like regular toilets but were huge. There was a giant sink and no mirrors. He got in trouble being found there, He later disappeared and has not been seen since. This was as of about 2010 when she told me about this. I wondered what it could have been.

One of the more wild stories I’ve heard about the Denver Airport is that one guy was supposedly trying to find a bathroom, & somehow ended up downstairs in a deserted area. The bathroom he went to had urinals for what had to be giants, they were positioned so high up on the wall. He got scared, & went quickly back upstairs.
