Denver Broncos Just Signed A Barbarian OL

With almost unanimous approval of our 2024 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos CONTINUE to get great news as we sign a barbarian offensive lineman who many had as a 6th round draft candidate! Frank Crum from the University of Wyoming has raw footwork and hand skill but has all of the physical tools to be a starting tackle in the NFL. I'm confident that under Sean Payton and Zach Strief he could develop to being a solid backup at worst with the upside of some day starting at one of our tackle slots. I'm also pumped to hear the reviews pouring in from real football guys like RGIII, CJ Stroud, Dez Bryant and others who think the Denver Broncos got the quarterback of the future with Bo Nix. To all of the Bronco Homies Like you i have scoured the webs to find out if Bo Nix was a good pick I have not found one good reason why he's not going to be a good quarterback in fact he ranked #1 in all of the important categories in analytics / He has all of the tools to be successful So as long as he's willing to put in the effort and Payton can get him the coaching that he needs we should be fine

Very accurate and quick thinking is what I saw when I watched Nix play here in Oregon. No reason for pause, he is the right QB for Sean Payton. I think he could be Denver's next superstar QB. I think the QB search is probably over. 👌

Payton values intelligence in the offensive line. Frank Crum got a finance degree in college & followed it up with an MBA. He was an All Academic Mountain West selection for 5 straight years & a Hampshire Honor Society selection in 2023. Players who enter the NFL with a masters degree are exceedingly rare. Russell Wilson got his in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis. This might seem insignificant to the task of blocking edge rushers, but the point here is that players like this had to have an enormously tough work ethic. To play major college football & also excel in the classroom not only at an undergraduate level, but beyond that points to the kind of worth ethic Sean Payton would like.

Add that fact to the fact that he is an absolute perfect fit for S Paytons offense and you will realize that all those analysts who said B Nix was a reach for the Broncos at #12 just simply don't know what they are talking about especially giving the fact that M Penix was already taken and there were no decent QB prospects left.

Being a tactician as an OL is critical. All of those speed drills are not as important for an OL as being a tactician. The positions on the offensive line are all about technique and short space footwork. Hopefully, he will make the practice squad and develop the technique and be able to make the roster in a year or two.

Nobody cares about draft grades. It’s the most irrelevant thing the media does post draft. I much rather look at film analysis and combine scores for the guys we got that I may be unfamiliar with.

@christophercyr6447 0 seconds ago I think an important thing to remember when assessing Bo Nix's value is that a lot of the criticism he got was for not throwing a lot of deeper passes. A lack of evidence is not evidence of lack. Just because that system he played in had a lot more short passes and that's what he was asked to do and that's what he did. But besides that every bit of evidence showed that Bo Nix was the 3rd or 4th best quarterback. Ranking him in the 2nd round is just ludicrious

Draft grades are nothing but opinion. At this point there is no NFL body of work to grade yet for the draftees. It's like giving a test grade before the test is taken. It takes 'at least' several years to determine how successful a draft class was...
