Sean Payton is the most overrated coach ever. People were saying Sean Payton was a genius before he was hired. Drew Brees made Sean Payton. After Brees retired Sean Payton actually QUIT as coach of the Saints (he was still under contract). Sean Payton sucked as the offensive coordinator of the New York Giants. He sucked so much Jim Fassel had to take over play calling for the Giants and the Giants offense improved immediately afterwards.

The impact of this loss to this team and the fans is cataclysmic. How does a team and organization process what happened? How does a head coach address the team after this? I mean, when these players were kids and they'd watch old NFL films of early Buccs teams and the 0-16 Lions teams and the old Saints teams, even THEY didn't lose like this amd those players will be attached to this loss for the rest of their lives. They won't even be able to bring up in conversation that they played for this team. How is that going to go? Player: "yeah, I played for the Broncos back in the day." Person: "oh really? Wow! When did you play?" Player: "from 2021-2024." Person: " oh God. We're you on THAT team that gave up 70 points?!?!" The sunami of implications is enormous. This is so bad that it wouldn't be an illogical plan to just start all the 2nd and 3rd string players to get them some experience and to see what they have in that group. What a historical disaster.
