Denver is an incredible city! I visited Denver frequently when I was growing up which helped start my love for cities. I've been looking forward to making this video for a long time. In this series I cover a city's history, population, skyline as well as a few things that make it unique. Thanks for watching: Denver Overview | An informative introduction to Denver, Colorado.

I'm a native of 66 years, Denver has low humidity, temps are tolerable. No earthquakes, hurricanes, floods. But it's getting expensive to live here. The road surfaces suck and traffic is getting worse.

I lived there for 17 years and in my humble opinion, it’s one of the great urban and cosmopolitan American cities. Eight of the 100 largest fast food chains were founded in the Mile High City. Aurora which is 15 or so miles away has nearly 400,000 people in the city limits. Second largest number of government jobs outside of Washington DC. One of just 13 cities to have sports teams in all five of the major leagues (MLB, NHL, NFL, NBA, MLS) plus its public transportation system is a six time winner of the best public transportation system in the nation (2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2015, 2018)

@@Tb12345 Average rent is around $1700 per month in Denver, winters get really bad but not like in the Midwest or East Coast as the mountains are a barrier somewhat. Colorado Springs is pretty good as they have a great zoo and parks system plus they have microbreweries and the Springs has around 485,000 people in the city limits and around 750,000 in the metro area. Fort Collins is pretty good too.

The Denver airport is the most unique airport in the country in my opinion. Its history, design, scale, and positioning in relation to Denver are all unique. It doesn't surprise me that there are so many conspiracies about it. That being said, it isnt my favorite airport. The line for security is the longest I have ever experienced and the USO lounge is extremely difficult to find/get to compared to other airports.

I've had the misfortune of flying through DEN. I wasn't prepared for the chaos of the unintuitive labyrinth of that airport. The signage is poor, and the layout is confusing. The zig zagging TSA line was the longest (both in time waited and number of people) I've ever been in. Pre-check was closed, and it was only 6 pm.

Denver is home to several sports teams such as NFL's Denver Broncos, NBA's Denver Nuggets, MLB's Colorado Rockies, NHL's Colorado Avalanche and MLS's Colorado Rapids, in addition from 1976-1982, Denver was home to the NHL's Colorado Rockies (not to be confused with the MLB's Colorado Rockies).

Great job covering Denver. We’ve been many times since we have relatives in Colorado Springs. The downtown is surprisingly walkable for an American city. I appreciate that! Union Station “reinvented” was absolutely the best surprise on our latest visit. I dragged my relatives to the DAM (Denver Art Museum) since they had never been. It was absolutely fantastic with Western & Native American art the highlights! The beauty of the red rock amphitheater is also hard to even describe. I would guess that both Denver & Colorado Springs contain some of the healthiest people in our country with such a wide array of hiking and outdoor venues. Plus the high altitudes and constant stair and hill climbing give you a built in aerobic workout every time you leave your home! The airport is crazy huge but well run most of the time. Enjoyed the video as always! 😎⭐️🥇🏆🥳🏙♥️

Just moved here. Love this city so much but it's people are so pressed and there isn't any good food, the roads are shit even if you bike, its a sanctuary city so i have to bust out the spanish everywhere so we can get somewhere, and the produce is wack unless you go to whole foods, even produce at costco looks horrible. I do like where this city is headed tho it just needs more work, be less lazy, and urgently fix the homeless issue so people can go out with confidence without robert on colfax trying to snatch a purse

What level of cuisine are you going for? As far as mid to high-end restaurants, Denver is great. If cheap, fast food, is your thing, then I can't help with that...... Denver even has great fast casual restaurants.

@janellestevens2316 I eat upper mid to high end all the time. I could go to Ruth's, urban farmer, or fogo every week, green seed or flower child every other day, Chipotle or sweet green is my go to in general, and hopdoddy is prolly the best burger joint this place has, but it gets old, and if i want something filling, decently portioned, and below 20 bucks, its unheard of around here esp mexican food, for the amount of latinos and Hispanics here you'd expect actual decent Mexican food, even my mother straight from Guadalajara says she's baffled by the Mexican the food here, its half assed and white ppl eat it up without question. There are some unique tasty restaurants for sure, for sure, all I did for the first 2 months was eat all around the state, travel time is zero issue, me being from Long Beach. There are a few places I hold near and dear to my heart that have the best bang for your buck, like bourbon grill In denver (great post leg day food) or tibet kitchen in boulder ( shaptak is a great post workout meal and i get to take my golden to the chataqua park after) and green seed for its bacon fried rice and custom options for online order with all the veggies you want and a fried egg that comes with it for under 16 bucks!!

@janellestevens2316
@janellestevens2316 8 ай бұрын
@lordjobe1724: If you have traveled to ANY city of a decent size outside of Denver and Seattle you will see that homelessness is a problem across ALL of America! I am not talking about small TOWNS, I am talking about mid to large size cities. If you think Denver is bad, check out Los Angeles, Austin, Phoenix, Philadelphia, and San Francisco! I could go on, but you should see for yourself. Also saying that you see homeless on EVERY CORNER in Denver is a huge stretch of the truth. Downtown Denver is pretty nice to walk. You will see homeless people scattered throught any downtown area, but homless encampments are usually concentrated to certain areas. They are unvoidable in the U.S. Of course there are places to avoid in Denver like everywhere else. The problem is that the cost of living is sky-rocketing everywhere! High prices, growing mental illness issues, and drug abuse are the problems, and it's all everywhere!

If you don't like living in a city that leans left, and it bothers you that much, then move to one of the poverty-stricken, cracked out red states. I'm sure no one in Denver would blink an eye...... I used to hear right-wing nut jobs complaining all of the time in Los Angeles. I don't know why they go to California because it is no secret that California is a blue state, and has been FOREVER so I say LEAVE! But the nut jobs won't leave because they know what they are gonna get in most of the red states!!
