Denver tops best places to live in U.S.

Stunning! I've lived in NY, LA, Miami, Denver. I have to agree 100%. The reason is because the economy gets warped in these tier 1 cities. It starts with the education and housing situations. Most people in LA are homeless because rent is very high. There are also a lot of run down places because of the crime rates in certain areas due to homeless, difficult education systems, and transportation. Denver seems beautiful.

Let's start off by saying that I loved the old Denver. I lived there in the 90's when times were slower and just BOOMING at a manageable pace. I went back a year ago and I couldn't recognize that same city that I knew and loved. I will NOT be going back to Denver, CO. anytime soon. I have family and friends that live outside Denver but with the wild fires and traffic......why?

@@harveyngun Why?? Denver sucks! They only have two freeways i-25 and i-70. You have to fight through traffic to get to the mountains. Traffic is bad and its getting more expensive! Check out North Carolina!

Well here we are 6 months later living in Aurora Colorado and it’s awesome the weather is amazing, only thing it’s expensive and all the homeless and everybody speeds like mad they’re going some 20 over speed limit means nothing to them...Crazy

US News, stop including Colorado on these studies and surveys. Pretend we don't exist, we need a break from all the influx. Too many people with all the wrong attitudes and behaviors are showing up. Focus on Utah or Wyoming for a while, please.

Way too many people drive like speed demons in Denver ignoring most traffic laws. Accidents are just waiting to happen. Too many crappy roads too. Bumpy, bumpy, bumpy! Denver used to be friendly, but not anymore. Yuck!

Denver is now one of the most expensive cities to live in ....the wages are low....the rents are astronomical...the roads are congested.......everything costs more........the crime rate and amount of homeless is exploding.........Denver is NOT a great place to live anymore

No it's not.1bdrooom apartments go for $900-1200/month, whereas in LA,NY,SF,Boston, D.C, SD you'll be lucky to find something for $1800 a month in livable areas.
