This happened to me twice never reimbursed....the second time they didn't get away with it, I asked them to confirm they were uber support and they hung up. the scary part is the locations they have you drive to sketchy and and dangerous and the spoofed rides after they send you a ghost ride

The scammers does not have Indian accent anymore. I got scammed by totally White man's voice. They knew who I was picking up in live time, I gave them 6 digits of my license to verify, then they gave me a credit card number to enter on my account which they claimed that it'll be a temporary gift card or something, and they managed to cash out instantly somehow... I was surprised how weak the Uber app's cyber security.

It happened to me last night. Called Uber today. Scammed $972. Won’t go into details but it came from a rider request named Gilbert. Unfortunately when I got to the house. The icon showing rider wasn’t there, then the call came and it was downhill from there. I’m trying to share the details in video, but don’t know exactly how to do it. Uber can stop this by not having riders not where they say they are.

He said, "Hi, my name is Anthony with uber support. I was looking at your profile and I noticed a problem." I immediately knew he was a scammer. I told him to ffff himself. I should have kept him on the phone so uber could have a recording of him. Uber needs to get the police involved. They need to arrest the guy. He's been at it for atleast 2 years. I've gotten 3 calls from him.

Almost happened to me last night Uber support is not allowed to call you they will email you the complaints if they ask you about anything about your account like a password or something ask them to tell you what it is cuz most likely they can't and then hang up once they can't

This happened to me a few times where a fare won't show up. Luckily, fares were significant enough to notice otherwise no idea how many minor fares got swallowed up. In some cases, fare is disputed by rider in some way, occasionally fraudulently but Uber is always happy to stiff the driver!

This happened to my mom who has been driving for Uber for 4 years we’ve been really struggling with our bills and when she heard 400$ bonus she got relieved because we really need the money for bills and when she got everything set up they took the 766$ she was going to use to pay her car payment and gas out of her account and Uber support said it could be months before she sees her money again my heart is broken for her I wish there was something I could do for her but I can’t.

These guys try to get me last night and they almost did!!!they requested a ride then told me to cancel it and after that they called me saying they had a verify me sending me a text message which would reset my password the guy asked me what color was my car I told him the wrong color on purpose he said OK correct ,that’s when I knew he was a scammer!!!he got mad when I called him out,he said F u and said don’t worry I will get the next guy…peace of shit pissed me off!!!
