Don't You Give Up On Me at approx. 18:45. God knows I love this girl! One of our country's most relevant and active singer-songwriters today.

I ran across Lissie on youtube when looking for of all things Dangiz videos and ran across her version of Mother. Instant love for her. Since then I have accumulated all her music and have it on my laptop and phone. She is a breath of fresh air. My life will be complete after seeing her live in concert (and Sarah Mclachlan). Until then thanks to posts like these that keep me going.

The first time I heard that amazing voice was in 2012 when Lissie’s version of ‘Go Your Own Way’ was used on BBC Radio 4’s Book at Bedtime (David Tennant reading ‘Stonemouth’ by Iain Banks). Been hooked ever since.

Hey, where is her usual band, Eric and the rest of the guys??. She's still fantastic!
@ambriadaniels-dovolis74967 жыл бұрын
Since she "quit " Hollywood and left she is no longer playing w/ her original band. Saw her last month she was on an acoustic w/ a lead guitarist that wasnt Eric.

Bummer indeed. While I still dig her, I really REALLY felt the magic with her old band. Those guys gave off a rare "in the moment" vibe whenever I saw them here on youtube. It's hard for me to watch her with other guitarists/band members. I just don't feel that same musical connection they had as a unit. The above for instance feels a bit more like two separate performers doing their own thing and just sharing the same space instead of being a band. Hope she finds that same kind of band chemistry again unless her aim is to just be a solo artist now with rotating local players. She still has the pipes and the spirit.

She needs alot of support right now still isnt really well from her "epic meltdown" when she had to call her parents to come get her from Ojai. It was apparent when I saw last month she isnt even close to being back to her old self. I am sure she is touring AGAINST the advise of her therapist. Lets please keep her in our prayers. Being 35,beautiful and still having the right guy show up for has gotta be disheartening.

But what's wrong with her?
@kchild717 жыл бұрын
Ambria Daniels-Dovolis it's apparent in her music that she hasn't found that true love and has been betrayed over and over. I believe this is why I love her music so much. I can identify with it. I met her 2 years ago and she is the most genuine beautiful person. I love her so much ❤

How did you know about her having the problems you describe? (I'm responding to you almost a year later, and I've never seen anything about that situation anywhere but here.) And good lord, it's incredible that she hasn't found the right guy yet! I mean, she's stunningly gorgeous (she appears generally to wear no makeup, and has a very unusual raw, natural beauty), as well as soulful, intelligent, and brilliantly talented -- oh, and really nice and down-to-earth. She could have her pick of any straight guy, most likely, and it must be just the worst possible luck that she hasn't found somebody *just right*. (It's actually a little heartbreaking; I find myself caring about her.) I'd nominate myself (I've already fallen in love with her a little bit just from reading about her and hearing some of her songs -- that voice!), but of course that's ridiculous...

Why does she change the guitarists? The last one was good. Sorry, but it is a bad sign.
