I was a drug addict for almost a decade of my life, wasted my most precious years, can’t believe I’m not dead or in prison, but today I’m a CPA, ready to start my own business, and moved from Ohio to Florida and bought my first home 5 minutes from the ocean. Do not tell me something is impossible because I’ve done it. Don’t make excuses because I made excuses in the past but here I am. I often think of a saying I heard many years ago which falls into line with this speach. Failure is not the falling down but staying where you have fallen. This is the first thing I watched after a difficult hip surgery amongst other things going on in my life right. The most arduous time in my life. …I prepared hard. No excuses. Powered through it all …owned the winter and powered through it all. This speech has helped like no other throughout this journey. Fall forward. A back up plan was never a option. Hard work WORKS. As I sit here in pain I realize I can’t be hurt. I made myself invincible. Pain is temporary. Discipline is the key to all life has to offer.
