He has technique and form the problem is he doesn’t have as much of it because he’s never needed it. Not with that reach and power. You can’t just be big and strong and knock out a bunch of pro fighters.

Tyson is a true boxer who has developed that art of defence and offence, he is a top class exponent of boxing. Whereas Deontay is a offensive boxer with a devasting punch who has not quite developed the art of defence. Clearly proven in the trilogy of fights they had, where Tyson won the majority of rounds but was caught a few times in each fight. The result was resounding wins for Tyson Fury in the 2nd meeting and the 3rd meeting with a KO, and a controversial draw in the 1st when most, including many top ex professionals stated Tyson won on points. Tyson Fury is one of, if not the best heavyweight we have seen.

He loads up the shot...he leads with the left to obscure your vision the follows with the right. If an experienced puncher, telegraphed it, it would be lights out for Wilder. But it's a gimmick - a good one - that has erased a lot of his deficiencies as a fighter.

You don't have to be a good technician as a hw. Hw's are big and more often than not, also not very agile(aka easier to land on) Fury is the exception as he's very elusive for a big guy. Just having power and a method of delivering that power is far more important as a hw. Fights don't usually go 12 rounds at HW so it doesn't take a genius to understand that being able to stop your opponents by just landing a couple of times in 12 rounds is far more effective than trying to outbox your opponent for 12 rounds while hoping to not get hit by a puncher in the meantime. The ring is small, and it's almost impossible to avoid a power punch from theese guys over 12 rounds as Fury found out the first time. And guess what, Fury even took a couple powershots in the rematch.

Nope. He proved that being a better boxer is a good way of winning a boxing match. Wilder fights like a kid in a playground. Literally runs in and windmills people - that’s all good and well but if they don’t land you get tired fast & then get lamped out. If Wilder could actually box he’d be very dangerous. One of the reasons for Wilder's success is the fact he is in a modern era of abject mediocrity in thr HW division. These are all big guys who can't box. A couple of his world title defenses were against guys who only started boxing in their early to mid 20s ffs.

It’s because he picked up boxing very late into his life. Are you saying you’re better than him?

@@MillyBitchell Umm...no, I just said he can’t box. Has absolutely nothing to do with me thinking I’m better. In fact most REAL boxing fans would agree with me, so stop reading into people’s comments Bubba! And BTW had he chosen to Deontay could have started working on his skills many years ago instead of depending on his right hand.

I would rather fight Fury than Wilder. Fury would kick my ass, but Wilder would put me in a coma. Both fighters are amazing
