Great videos! What means "CRAR" in the noise abatement description?
@mightymkl5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The standard noise abatement procedure is NADP-2, with an acceleration height of 1500ft HAA or engine out acceleration height, whichever is higher. NADP-1, with an acceleration height of 3000ft HAA, shall be used when required by local regulations. Refer to LIDO RouteManual AOI or CRAR to determine whether NADP-1 is described. CRAR means Country Rules and Regulation.
@CPTDBX5 жыл бұрын
@@mightymkl Ok thank you for your answer, it really helps me;) But what I don't understand is where to get the acceleration altitude information when it says "See CRAR".. The information is in the AOI documents or in another document?
@mightymkl5 жыл бұрын
This means you can find it in the AIP. We have the info in our company NOTAM. The AOI refers to CRAR. But... For departures they have written down a special Noise Abatement procedure departing from runway 24. When I look in our LIDO General part 3.90.4.1 Noise Abatement of Italy, they don't really tell you the NADP to be used.... Hope it helps.

Why did you pause with the flight control check until the slats had extended?
@mightymkl7 жыл бұрын
Nice question! It's part of our Normal Procedures... it says; Call "FLAPS____" as needed for takeoff Flap lever....................Set takeoff flaps (F/O) Verify that the LE FLAPS EXT green light is illuminated Flight controls..................... Check (C) C being the captain. F/O being the First Officer. But we didn't do this before it was implemented in the Normal Procedures. It's something new.... and we still have to think about it every time. So this is why you see me start.... wait... and than do the flight controls check. Hope it clarifies your question. Greetings, MightyMKL

mightymkl thanks for taking the time to reply! What's the technical reason for not moving the flight controls when the LE devices are in transit?
@mightymkl7 жыл бұрын
Apart from the fact that it is written in the Normal Procedures, I can not find another reason. I'll try to get an answer via our Technical department. :-)
@mightymkl7 жыл бұрын
The person I spoke to from the Technical department could not think of a technical restriction. So it has to do with the fact we have to be sure all LE devices are in the correct position before checking the next item on the checklist. (The flight controls).

Erg tof, mooie departure! Wanneer ik zelf nog bij een afhandelaar werkte, vroeg de captain van een 737 altijd om te mogen pressurize'n zodra de steering-pin in-place was. Doen jullie dit d.m.v. HYD pumps naar ON te zetten of? Groetjes!
@mightymkl7 жыл бұрын
Klopt. Groet, MightyMKL

What's the distinctive noise as the gear comes up - is it the brake stopping the nose wheel spinning?
@mightymkl5 жыл бұрын
There are no brakes on the nose wheel. So they are retracted while rotating... There are snubbers (small plates) to brake the wheel in wheel well.
@neilking5 жыл бұрын
@@mightymkl Thanks. So is these snubbers stopping the wheel spinning the noise you can hear? Or is it just the motor that lifts the wheel?

Checking the flight controls ... not yet 😀 wat was de reden voor de ‘not yet’?
@mightymkl6 жыл бұрын
Goed gezien... (Beroepsdeformatie)

Am I right that your F/O was taxiing? I thought it's always the captains task? At least here in Germany. Btw: Nice video and teamwork.
@mightymkl7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question Marcel.I our aircraft the F/O is also able to taxi because we have a tiller on the right side. So depending on who the Pilot Flying (PF) is... thats the one who does the taxiing. It is an option our company takes from the factory. (2 tillers)
@Moschi877 жыл бұрын
That's a nice option :) I never heard before the F/O taxies the aircraft (especially not in europe). There are widebodies (777?) which have two tillers but the F/O isn't allowed to taxi. You often hear of that when captain is incapacitated and they have to be towed to the apron...
@mightymkl7 жыл бұрын
It is a lovely option! During summer we lease B737's from other companies... Then there is no tiller on the right hand side... Than the captain is always taxiing...
