Martin has always played live the main guitar riff along with a pre-recorded one to achieve a fuller sound on I Feel You, nothing wrong with doing that. Same logic as Christian playing live drums with other pre-recorded electronic percussion sounds. Here, Martin's guitar was in a different tunning, and they decided to change the guitar. The pre recorded guitar is the fifth string, ONE string only, playing A C A A A over and over, loud and simple and with special effects to help define the rhythm in a plain and constant way in a loop. Martin's live guitar is a rhythmic guitar riff playing multiple strings in A minor chord, specifically the 3rd, 4th, and 5th strings only, with the 5th one playing A C A in a different way. Check out this video below where they did not use the pre-recorded guitar, but a synth riff instead, so it is easier to distinguish the live guitar that Martin plays to understand what he does live, a rhythmic riff with multiple strings. Remember, for the pre-recorded guitar used in other tours, including Devotional and Memento Mori, they used the pre-recorded ONE STRING guitar riff along with Martin's live guitar. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJuUiX6krdeebsUsi=PnrZqMkITPMYI-kz I am a multi instrument musician, music producer with a pretty good ear, I think I will make a video explaining the difference between both the live and the pre-recorded I Feel You guitar riffs, if this doesn't clarify the confusion.

How did you NOT see them until now, if you watched 101 in 88? That's insane! How? I have never missed a concert in 2 states since I started going to concerts in 1990, at 15yo. My parents were strict about rock concerts. My first was DM and The Cure and I've never missed either of them. I'm 48 now and a grandma and my hubby and I will see Dave, Thursday in Denver. ❤ Will be number 18 for me since I like to attend multiple concerts in the same tour. ❤ I don't expect anyone to part-time groupie like me, but to miss so many great concerts? 😢 At least you went now. I hope you go to more. Will be my hubby's second DM concert because he started loving DM since we've been together. Last one was Denver 2016 or 2017... It was after Bowie passed away in Jan 2016, I know, because Dave did an absolutely GORGEOUS tribute to him. I cried. Big Bowie fans too. ❤ Anyway, glad you got to finally see them, but I would never have made it all these years without going at least once. Lol Dave is so much fun in concerts - I hope you go to more! ❤

It seems, he got a normal tuned guitar before the song, so it is out of tune a half note. @madarab373 ай бұрын
@@adala1007 I never said having a guitar makes you a great musician. But I was raised on 70s music, like Eagles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Rush. All of these bands have great guitar solos in their songs. Fast forward to the late 80s and videos of DM come out, People are People etc. Martin Gore has a keyboard. Nobody in the band has a guitar. And Stevie Ray Vaughan is on the airwaves playing David Bowie songs. SRV was more of a real musician than the entire band of DM. When they came out with their electronic music it just sounded so weak and synthetic. Drum machines? No thank you. But when Strangelove came out and I heard them again, I changed my mind. They sounded less like a pre recorded sequence on a Casio and more like a real band, with real drums and a more orchestral sound. I admit I was prejudiced against the new sound of modern bands, but I think you should admit a prejudice against the older bands who had guitars and real drums. And people who could play them.

😂 You DM fans/fools paying big $$ upto $1,000 for playback/backing tracks on guitar? Wow. This is basically vocals over preset time signatures for most is the string section. LOL!!! That’s why better to watch concerts for free on KZbin with a 52” tv and sit back eating/drinking what you want and no waiting for long bathroom lines.

I would have loved to see them on this tour, but they chose to skip Minnesota....I saw on their itinerary that one city in the US was TWO stops.

It was an AMAZING show. Dave's voice was incredible. The lighting. Everything. Didn't matter one bit to me if they used pre-recorded guitar sounds on some songs.

@@BostonLuli ya, you probably missed 1/3 of the concert standing in line for food and womens, i means “them, they,” restroom.

@@user-nr1np1pj9w Sorry to disappoint you. I’m not a child. I only left my seat when the concert ended. I enjoyed every single second of it. My videos are proof of that. 🤷🏻♀️

Despite all the sometimes relevant explanations given, it sucks, from now on I will have a very different perception of DM concerts. Very disappointed.

I am not a fan of the guitar or live drums anyway.🤷🏻♀️

hahah he's doing playback. Anyway he's been doing that since Violator tour for Personal Jesus and other heavy guitar songs. Look for the Violator backing tracks on KZbin. You will be surprised of how much is put into tape. Only Alan was playing a few parts. Sad.

Martin has always played live the main guitar riff along with a pre-recorded one to achieve a fuller sound on I Feel You, nothing wrong with doing that. Same logic as Christian playing live drums with other pre-recorded electronic percussion sounds. Here, the pre-recorded guitar went down in the tuning right after it started and seemed like it created some confusion, and they decided to change the guitar.

What do you expect bro? He’s the only guitarist on stage. You expect him to play all the guitar parts at the same time?

@@otroscar not sure about it. For me it sounds like a pure pre-recorded backtrack. Why can't he achieve a fuller sound using more pedals? It's not Iron Maiden kind of riff and sound...

@@MarcusL1995 Im an amateur guitarrist and I can play I feel You and Personal Jesus top to Botton without any problem. Pretty straightforward blues with a danceable backing track. He isn't Stevie Ray Vaughan. this is kindergarten guitar challenging.

Pre recorded guitar is quite disapointing… 😢 drum machine or synth fine… but guitar?? Really??😅
